This is not a joke.
I recently deleted my Facebook Account. I rarely/barely used it, posting less than once a year, although I was kept very up to date on what the people I went to HS with 40+ years ago were having for lunch.
My spam calls & emails have dropped 90%. Believe it, don’t believe it, but I know what goes on, on my phone.

I'd never had a FB account, until I had to get in touch with an old Navy buddy.It was pretty cool catching up with him, and a lot of the other guys, plus high school classmates that I hadn't talked to in almost fifty years. However; over time, I found out that there are some folks, that don't know how to be civil and respectful. It got so frustrating, I said to heck with this, and closed it down. I often wonder how some of these people would act when they are in a face to face conversation. I will say there was one enjoyable back and forth with an lsu fan. It was pretty funny and almost like being in a butt kicking contest with a one legged man.
Oh yeah, MFO. I tried to give you a tU, but for whatever reason, Tnet wouldn't let me. Anyway, know that your contributions to the conversation are always welcome.

I used to have a Facebook account but I had a stalker that stalked me on it so I deleted my account and never made another one. Or at least I thought I deleted my account because a few years later I found out that my old account was scamming people on my old friends list. Whoever it was was pretending to be me and posting weird stuff like advertising weird products and spamming comments. Apparently some hackers find abandoned users to hack and take control of these accounts to spam and scam other people. This time I went on and made sure that I deleted my account. So the hackers couldn’t use my account anymore.
Also yea sometimes when you give someone a TU it doesn’t register. Usually if you come back to the post later then you can give them a TU.

After seeing the movie, I decided to see if I could get in touch with a couple of guys that
I had not seen in 50+ years. Got together with one but he cheated at golf so had to drop him.
Another flipped out politically (would make maga folk seem sane) so I cancelled my account.

I’ve never had Facebook but I’ve seen my husband’s. My daughter said younger people don’t use it much anymore because of all the old people on there 😆. The “old” people do enjoy keeping everyone updated EVERY time they go out to eat, where and with whom. They also post delightful pictures of their food while there. The beefs between “friends” on Facebook are amusing. It’s crazy what some people will post on there

Keeps me up to date with old school friends. Except for that I would have no need for it. Check it out a couple of times a week but rarely post.
Some good Clemson FB pages and some former players on there. Vance Hammond and Rod Gardner are on there a good bit. At least on my feeds.

I didn’t have a FB account until about 3 years ago and swore I never would. After I retired I wanted to buy a kayak and found one on marketplace, but you have to have a FB account to contact anyone who has an item for sale on marketplace. So I signed up. Since then, I have reconnected with several old high school friends and hear from cousins I never heard from any other way. The biggest reason for me having it is still marketplace.
