A quick note on those eating crow for publiclymocking Stoudt

Dec 30, 2014, 8:41 AM

And I'm not referring to those who respectfully discussed that he was obviously having a bad season. That was clear to everyone.

But if you publicly mocked...ridiculed...one of our own, then coming back here as an anonymous poster to "eat crow" doesn't make it alright. You're not being a "big man". If you're not with the team when the outcome is in question, what good is your support after he goes 26/36 for 319 yards, 3 TDs, 1 rushing TD, no TOs and is named the game MVP?

then and it appeared that Chad lost his confidence in him then. Way too early, and a player would have a hard time regaining confidence in himself when his coach does not trust him and designed a "20 play conservative playbook" for him, and even publicly advertised it before GT game, not knowing DW would be injured in that game early. And GT players said they knew those "20 plays" by studying film. I do think Morris ought to refund a few hundred thousand, and I hope the coaching of Streeter will prove this???? I hope that Cole will have great game, and put him back on pro-candidate board. He is after all much more of a pro-style qb and Morris wanted the free-style pass/run qb that DW is and Tajh was...This game will be interesting to watch. GO TIGERS! And please withhold the booing no matter what!

calling out "tigerking" and "psbo" especially!

I think Cole's shoulder may have played a bigger role than people think, and I believe he took to Elliot and Scott alil better than he and Chad did. Him and Chad just couldn't seem to be on the same page as far as the scheme and play calling went.

Don't leave out Streeter!***

If I am called a "moron" for supporting a Clemson player

Dec 30, 2014, 9:01 AM [ in reply to I was called a "moron" and worse for supporting Cole many ]

then I would consider it an honor. For those that trash a Clemson player or coach then they are of no value to the team so who cares if they support them AFTER a kid proves them wrong by playing a great game and winning MVP? They would have been the first ones on the board proudly saying "I told you so" if the results had been otherwise.

I think more than 75% of Tiger fans had something to say about Cole's bad play this year, calling out the bad performances and play is one thing. But the bad name calling and derogatory remarks about him is another, I know as fans its hard to hold back emotions during hard times and bad play...its human instinct for most competitors, its just keeping it to a minimal and not in a hurtful ugly nature. I called out Stoudt as much as anyone, but never a bad name...he is a Tiger for life and I'm glad he went out in style on the big stage. Good for him!

yep many here acted like spoiled brats toward him. there was a vibe that somehow it was Coles fault DW couldnt play or that he Tanya Harding him. Those people were pretty sickening.

We didnt have a great OL and we lost two main receivers and our best returning rb from '13. It was naturaal there would be some growing pains

See posts above - new coaching made big difference!

Morris should refund us several hundred thousand for his 2nd half coaching against Gawja and publicly announcing "20 plays for Cole" before GT game:

I would say that it appears that it was more a Morris problem than a Stout problem. It's funny how our fanbase would not tolerate the "I'll get this fixed" from a certain defensive coordinator, but sat back and took it from Morris all season about the poor QB play from Stout, and really the last several years from in Tajh Boyd in some areas. Personally I think Tajh and Co. made Morris look like a better OC than he actually was, but I'll just sit back and sip my tea...
