A coaching name worth a call...

It would definitely be worth a call but he is probably on his way to an MLB position one day...Mike Shildt.

He Is currently the Memphis Redbirds manager. Got promoted from Double A this past year. Had ties to the Carolina's being in Charlotte for a long time. Like I said probably a VERY long shot since he's in triple A but it would be worth the phone call. He is a HELL of an instructor, coach, and talent evaluator.

Tremendous recommendation.

However, as you've suggested, I'm betting (and hoping) that there's MLB in his future.
