This is comical! This is what's wrong with society; we make excuses for people who are considered to be heroes, cool, etc.

This was NOT a mistake. This was repetitive. He knew exactly what he was doing.

And how ironic is it that Paterno was considered to be prim and proper and above reproach for years? And now?

still not buying that he wasnt replacing Joe eventually becuase he was spending too much time was going to his foundation. I believe the word got out about him . Why he retired. Why he never got another coaching look. Everybody didnt know but enough key people knew that he could have been stopped years ago. Many lives could have been saved from being torn apart by Sandusky

Went from an icon and a saint to an exposed coward and liar in a short time. I remember the Citrus Bowl after the "87 season; thought we'd beaten a true legend and a great coach and that was 25 years ago.
