2014 Recruiting

May 7, 2013, 11:50 AM

It's looking to be a HECK of a class. However, if we get Kitt and Richards as I think we will in the next month. we will have 6 offensive commits and not 1 on defense. Anyone else see this as kind of weird or do the coaches know what they're doing? haha. thanks

As it stands right now, it looks like 13 or 14.

Don't follow recruiting very closely, who are the main defensive targets? The only one I can think of is the LB Register from NC. Thanks.

Clemson will probably sign 16-18 players assuming some attrition and early departures. Right now, we're 1 under the 85 cap with 9 seniors and at least one likely earlydeparture. I may have missed 1 early departure and we'll almost certainly have some attrition from this class along with players already on campus.

Right now, Clemson is involve with defensive 5*s Khairi Clark-DT, Andrew Brown-DT, and Lorenzo Carter-DE, but aren't the favorites for any.

It will be tough to battle the homestate dawgs, but 4* Raekwon McMillon-MLB is a high priotiry as is Christ Register-OLB, Treon Harris-CB, Korie Rogers-MLB, Dexter Wiceman-DT, Andrew Williams-DE, and Kevin Crosby-MLB/TE who might be a better MLB, but wants to play TE.

On the offensive side of the ball, IMO, 4*s Trevion Thompson-WR, and Donnell Stanley-OG are highest ranked uncommitted players likely to sign with the Tigers.

Not really just look at last years class. Most were defensive players. We have a good shot at Wideman at DT and McMillan at LB.

Cool, thanks for the info. Looks like a good list of players, would be great to grab a couple of those DE's to continue to build a dominant pass rush. Looks like a really good groups of LBs too, forgot about McMillon I had heard about him too.
