program in the country during his tenure. This man has done a remarkable job here at clemson, and it saddens me the way some people are bashing him. It may be time for him to step back but who knows we still have a lot of games to be played. But either way this man deserves to be respected for what he has done for us.

Heck, Bobby Bowden won more games than anyone in history

but even he screwed it up during his last years.

There's a time when even the great ones need to give it up.

never treated like this. We have more class than this at clemson

lol, How is Jack being treated? I'm sure he's not worried

about a few fans on a message board saying he needs to retire...

He has been a great one who just could never get it done. Had by far the best team in baseball in 1996 and 2002 and couldn't get it done. Always choked in tournament time. But he was the model consistency for years and was a great coach. Thank him and move on.

To your last point, maybe, maybe not..

But 8 games into the season is not the time to decide that, nor is it right to continually rail the man like we're a bunch of spoiled children.

60 games into the season and you will not want to pull the plug-no accountability which falls back on the AD-thank God that Terry Don is gone because he would let him stay with a 20-40 season

Sorry, the game has passed him by. Under your view, Bobby Bowden, Don Shula, Tom Landry would still be coaching. The fact of the matter is that we have underperformed for about 5 years now and a change is needed.

He needs a fire set under his feet; I have listened for 5 years everybody and their brother name old facts and then say give him a break for this season-NOTHING every changes-we lose to the #####, UVA, UNC, etc. game after game.

Yes Jack has done a good job at Clemson but that does not mean we owe him a job for life. Several teams in the ACC have passed us as have the chickens. It is troublesome that we do not look fundamentally sound at times and we do not have the talent of past teams on a consistent basis. I lost respect for JL a couple of years ago when he lashed out at fans in the stands that were riding him during the game. You gotta have thicker skin than that. If Jack were ever going to win the big one, he would have done it with Green, Baker and those teams that were truly the most talented in the country. Losing 9 of the last 11 and 19 of the last 26 to scar....it is time for a change !

I agree entirely

Jack Leggett has been a great baseball coach at Clemson. He built our program into a national powerhouse, and he deserves all of the credit, respect and admiration for that. True Clemson fans, the fans who know anything, will not bash him.

That said, it appears that it's time for Jack to step aside. Our program is losing ground every year now. He deserves our thanks. And barring what would appear at this point to be miracle, he needs to go at the end of this season.

One championship in the past 18 years the man is a good coach but is not great/elite.

He shouldn't be fired but needs to be pushed towards retiring.

I respect his accomplishments but realize we need a change.

Why can't we have it both ways?
