I considered Stanford highly. But CU had a better offer. $1,250 annual for tuition, food, and a room in the tin cans, E333. Additionally, I got a bald head and a rat cap. Easy choice.

Condi Rice is a professor and administrator at Stanford but not an alum. She went to University of Denver and to Notre Dame.
Christian McCaffrey entered the NFL before graduating. There was an NFL promo with him in a lab coat standing in front of a chalkboard. His mom who's a hoot saw it and said, "You know that he's a college dropout, right?"
