Looks like he did this to get a lot of time and get on another HM team next year with $$$ to boot. Remember, he transfered all 4 years in HS. Now it looks like ACC Buckner was going to hurt his playing time.. link:

Yep. The one that got away. As you probably know, I'm not versed at the bball positions when it comes to who can play like the 3 or 4 position. Or the 4/5 etc.
So here's my question. Iyo, which would have been a better keep: del Jones or Dillon hunter? Obviously we want it to be Dillon because he's on our team... but I do miss del. Are these numbers just because it's Radford? A school I love btw. Tia.

I'd rather have Dillon for his steady leadership as a senior.
Remember Radford barely beat Eastern Illinois. He is a lot of their team. I think Ace is a better defensive player. Also, keep a look out for Zac Foster. Kid is better than both and will be putting up crazy numbers before the season over and probably starting. Zac Foster and Ace Buckner is the starting backcourt of the future.

Thank you both!! I'm just trying to learn. Since you mentioned it, I now remember the complaints from last year that del wasn't attracted to playing D like Brad insists. And, like football, I think D wins in bball and most sports honestly. A lot like uva played.. not always pretty but it got them Ws.
Thanks again. I really enjoy your bball posts and expertise. Really looking forward to next week with a step up in competition.

This isn't 1985. I wouldn't buy your Zac Foster and Ace Buckner jerseys if I were you.
I doubt that. Zac Foster played at his HS for 4 years and not far from home.
Ace Buckner is even more of a sure thing. His father played at Clemson, and Ace and Coach Brownell have gone on record that he grew up a Clemson fan growing up. Also, does need the money at all. Greg is a top NBA assistant coach.

Enjoyed watching the Duke/Texas game. Granted, I watched on mute but who is that banger kid Vokietaitis from Texas. A sophomore. If he was on our team, I'd predict us winning a natty. Kid can back down a defender. May foul out a lot though.
Also watched some of the coots game. Night and day with our opener. I didn't think they looked good at all on D. Lots of turnovers. But I don't know if they're supposed to be good or not. Don't care as long as we beat them.

Del will be at Radford for this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if he lands at VT the following year. He's a good player that will dominate in the Big South. I like you feel that Dillon Hunter is the floor general that suites Clemson's play. Not to mention that Dillon is a fantastic defensive player. On a side note, Chauncey Wiggins had 22 in a win last night for the seminoles.

The Big South has some good squads. High Point beat Furman by 26 and Radford won too but bottom line is, Del will be a star at Radford and would be splitting time if he had stayed with us.
