RB room is getting desperate!

I don't know how many of us on TNET warned of this situation from not recruiting a quality RB in two cycles, but this is getting bad now.
Ship and Mafa were injured simultaneously in 21, which could happen again in 23.
If this happens, we have Keith Adams Jr as our starting RF RB and a walk-on behind him.
If Dabo doesn't use the portal here, then I don't know what to say.

Have you looked at the RB roster at Bama, UGA and Clemson (in 2022)?

True but this 2022 class should have been able to bring in a 4-5* talent since I assume of the those guys will be leaving in 2023.

A few warned about it but the old man shirt tucking cult just could not understand the importance, so it was attacked and dismissed.
My guess is we sign two RBs in this class as we have several offers out. One of the two may be a late take after the first NSD.

Was not landing an RB in 2022, and not having one yet committed in 2023 really attacked on here? Or was it the snide comments about CJ Spiller being a crappy RB coach and recruiter and only on the staff because he played for Dabo that brought out the pushback?

That walk on was a NAIA all - american, so he is not your typical walk on. I don't think people realize what a competitor Adams is and CU is in on two quality backs. In this era (portal) you are not going to see a quality 3rd team back stay around very long. If you go after a back in the portal after just losing one, you are just asking Adams to transfer. JMO.
