What will college football be like in 5 years, heck, even 3 years ??

How much money will be blasted away into oblivion, wasted, on young athletes who know nothing about money or its true value. Not saying the players should not be compensated, but left unregulated where is the stop-gap that ends this free-for-all ??

How many companies will have shilled out millions and millions and the return is what ????

1 team will be champion as always. With the new free market, will only a few select teams be capable of winning a championship ???

The future looks bleak to me, what is the saving grace of this new enterprise that is Collegiate Football ???

I really have no idea, other than it has become much more corporate and business structured. Rapid change usually ends badly, and this went from 20mph - 100mph at warp speed.

It will look 11 players on offense trying to move the ball against 11 players on defense. Wait a minute, that is what it looks like now. Oh yeah.

The government should've left college football alone.

Rapid change ends badly? Not even.

The history of the world is replete with rapid change ending very well.

The automobile.
The airplane.
Computers.
The internet.

Etc.

The coaches will make more than ever.

The players will make more than ever.

The players will not all be students.

The fans will pay more than ever.

Advertisements will be longer.

Games will be shorter.

Pretty much. The cost will go higher with inflation, fans and especially alums will throw in the towel when there is no more allegiance to the school, and it becomes some sort of weird minor league for football.

No allegiance, no school spirit, purely another transactional sports league.
