Quick update on rain delayed Memorial golf tourney

It wouldn't be the Memorial if it weren't a weather delay.

Doc finidhed his round +3. Much work to do tomorrow. Current t90 but will change when play resumes.

Lucas finished Even for the day. Currently t36. But will change. He had 4 birdies and 4 bogeys with one bogey on a par 5. He played the par 5's at +1... Not good. He'll need a good round tomorrow to get into contention.

Kyle was on 7 when play suspended. He's currently at -1. Let's hope tomorrow goes well for Kyle. Need us a Tiger golfer to follow this weekend.

Sidenote. Thanks to Horry Tiger 2 for posting our Lady golfer Alexandra Swayne and her par chip on 18 at the US Open. She's currently +6 thru 14. Birdie a couple and go low tomorrow. Here's hoping we have a lady Tiger to follow over the weekend. That'd be fun.

Also, Lauren Stephenson shot -1 in the Open and finished the day in the top ten.

My bad. Thanks for reminding us... Where's Skeeta56, hope he's just busy and not something else. I knew I'd miss something and didn't post about the korn ferry either but it wasn't much to post on that either... Hopefully both Billy and Carson have stellar rounds this morning to make the cut.

Thanks again for reminding all of us about Lauren.

Clamgal ...... I played the course with Nicklaus in 2001 around the first of May ...... I think the last year Jack competed. On the 13th hole the sky broke loose and it just poured. The club sent out a van for us and on the way in Jack said the PGA asked him about moving it to another month. He said he told them “we get 5” of rain in May, 5” in June, 5” in July, and 5” in August ...... which month do you want to move it to?”

After we had lunch and went back out to the 13th hole. We had both already hit our drives and he had 201 yards to the flagstick and I had 200 ...... only about 10’ apart in the middle of the fairway. I hit my 3 metal and he hit 5 iron. My ball landed on the front of the green just over a bunker and stopped 15’ below the flagstick and Jack hit his in the sand bunker to the right of the green. Took Jack 4 strokes to hole his ball and I 2 putted for a par.

Wow!!!! What an honor. Golf Royalty. Definitely a memory of a lifetime. I'd have never hit that golfball again. That's special. Thanks for sharing.

I always thought that'd become the 5th major. Our boys are doing ok today. Kyle left some on the course if he'd stayed away from those darn bogeys.

Having a rough time getting over last week.

Is Kyle having trouble with his putter? That is usually the source of his problems.

Nope. Most were drives. He doesn't hit long as it is but when you get in that wet rough it's hard to get up and down. 2 were caused by errant approach to the rough.

Of course, you know exactly how it is chumming around with Jack on his own course.., golf royalty!!!!

It was fun. My partner and I played Jack and his partner (15 handicapper) in a $2.00 Nassau. We gave them 7 strokes, as my partner told Jack he was a 3 handicap, but he was really a 10 ........ guess he wanted Jack to think he was a better player. Anyway, we lost the bet, but not because of Jack but his 15 handicap partner who had two natural birdies in the back nine. I still owe Jack $6 ......

Wow ..... real bummer for Rahm. I understand why they have to enforce such a rule, but he could play a round without getting within 10' of anyone except his caddie ..... who has already been exposed. I have actually become a bit of a Rahm fan in the past year since he has gotten a little better control of his emotions.
