Questions for VETERAN TNET-ers

Jul 24, 2017, 12:05 PM

Hey guys,

Long time fan to CU and only in my rookie (or redshirt freshman) season here on the Tnet boards... I have some questions for the Tiger faithful football board posters who frequently use these two inside jokes...

+1 TUs a plenty for anyone who can answer the following:

-- What does this phrase mean -- "sorry if Germans..."?
-- Why should we "Fire Batson" (who properly prepares a playoff ready product each year? Or is it sarcasm b/c he's doing so well ;) )

I'm sure there are other inside jokes and one liners people can add to this thread, but any helpful hints to these two phrases in particular would be appreciated since it's my first couple seasons on the board.

If it pleases, I offer up to the Tnet gods this coach that looks like a special Will Mustslump with a mustache

I will take notes... carry on and n/m

Tigerbalm - first off, big fan. Love the mullet. Don't hate, masterb8

And that's to all the Tneters who provided links to help school me. Let's see if I can continue to wade through the Bs and sarcasm (and upcoming QB battle).

Go Tigers!

Fire Batson is from the Tommy Bowden years when a lot of people on here thought our biggest problem as a program had to do with our strength, conditioning, and physicality.

Now it's more of a running joke since our players hardly ever get out physicaled in game.

There are topics that become themes on tnet if you hang

Jul 24, 2017, 12:13 PM

around long enough.
There were the pumpers and dumpers when Dabo got hired.
There were fire Batson folks like 5-6yrs ago who often commented that our team wasn't physically tough enough to compete woth out physical teams.
Fire Batson became comical like 3 yrs ago after we had rhat top D in the country.

"Germans" is used to mean "redundant", though it comes

Jul 24, 2017, 6:33 PM

from a scene showing ignorance, not reduncancy, which I guess is appropriate for the "bored", since ignorance is certainly "German."
