The minority and supporters of mediocrity will rejoice of course - and not one of them can explain why they think any additional time can show that Brad has suddenly figured out how to be a program driving coach.
The majority know we need a change in leadership. Put excitement and hope back into the program. Neff clearly missed an opportunity to do the right thing. To take control and do something. Many other schools make changes, but not Neff. Why? The issue was not this years failure to get into the dance. The issue is 13 years in the making. A set of data that it a single person would be proud of.
The question is - can IPTAY donations be earmarked away from certain sports? I don’t want to penalize softball, football, baseball, tennis, etc - but I clearly don’t want to support financially the decision to bring Brad back.

I don’t think you can specify where your IPTAY money goes…

But it will apparently take something similar. If ticket sales went down, then they’d start to take notice.

Getting shafted out of an NCAA tournament bid makes today a sad day for our program. Oh wait; that’s what you were talking about right?

Well, I am sad about that. But also sad Neff chose mediocrity for our basketball program. ND chose to get better. Syracuse GT
Neff lost his balls.

He just fired two coaches in the last 6 months; he’s doing what he thinks is right for the program and the student athletes. How many people have you had to fire; I can tell you it ain’t fun and he’s proven he’s willing to do it. I’d really like to win more games and compete in the NCAAT too; but, just like you I don’t know sheet about how to get that done. He knows a lot more than we do so Imma assume he’s got a plan and trust him over the basketball experts here on Tigernet

Unfortunately, you picked the wrong guy to ask have they fired people. I have fired thousands. Aka, shut down, relocated factories all over the world. Shut down operations teams etc. it is difficult, as you say. But it was also part of my job. You do what is right - and if you do it right and fair, then it does not hurt. Sometimes you must cut off a tentacle to save the octopus. In this case, does his not wanting to hurt a guy that has been very well paid for very limited success outweigh his responsibility for the many donors, students, fans that want more? I think he chose wrong. 13 years was enough time to succeed .

Not sure how that is shafted. Our fans look pretty uneducated on the NCAA Tourney by even thinking we were going to make it.

I give to both the school and iptay. Certainly not the largest, but also certainly higher than most. No, I don’t get season tickets. I live in south Florida. A bit hard to get to basketball games like I used to. Yes, I had season tickets when I lived anywhere near Clemson. I do go to away games and a couple at Clemson every year. So, yes, I am more than a tigernet fan.
