As some of you know, I like to brag about my kids. A couple weeks ago, "deserttigress21", started her career as a microbiologist with a public company focused on heart disease therapies. While the last year and a half at CU was less than optimal due to COVID (not much laboratory work/training happened), she persevered and made it happen. The interview process seemed to indicate that a degree from CU is valuable, and, given the circumstances, she was well prepared. Those tuition checks were worth it. As you parents of adult kids know, there is nothing better than seeing them achieve their goals ! What a great few months it's been, from participating in the ring ceremony with her (I might be the oldest guy to ever do it), to attending graduation, to kicking off the career... Go Tigers

My son graduated in December in nursing, having to make major adjustments due to COVID. He is now working at one of the top CTICU units in the country, at Duke Medical.
Go Tigers!

Congrats and good stuff! Definitely a challenge dealing w the covid stuff for these kids. So unfortunate that they had to endure this during their jr/sr years. Should have been more of a fun experience for them.
