Clemson is no longer an elite program but is very solid. They are still winning around 10 games per season. Look at all of the great programs that have gone from elite to below average. FSU, FL, NEB, AUB, USC, MICH, OK. Clemson went from elite but they are still good. Winning is very hard. After the Louisville loss last nights win on the road was a good win. That's what good teams do. Elite teams wouldn't have lost to Louisville at home but that's why Clemson is good and not elite. Enjoy the good because they can go to average or FSU bad really fast.
I think Dabo will keep Clemson at a good to elite level as long as he's the coach. I see Clemson being at an elite level again in the next few seasons because Dabo is the coach. He's did it before and he will do it again.
I understand the frustrations with the portal and NIL situations. Also some of the coaching hires. It can be maddening to watch how it plays out.
I'm glad Clemson is still a solid program and I believe Dabo will never let this program turn into a FSU or FL bad. I feel confident he will do what it takes to make Clemson elite again.

Recruit a lot more aggressively.
More focus on execution of plays and identity.
Getting these players into the weight room to look like grown men that are football players/warriors... instead of 16 year old kids running lemonade stands.
There needs to be a better adaptation to deal with this new world of college football.

Well we could possibly get to 11 if we get the future games with opponents like LSU and Georgia off our schedule. Maybe we should hope the ACC goes to 9 conference games.

Keowee. 9-10 wins are solid, not great but pretty good. There's a bunch of teams who wish they were as good as Clemson. Give Dabo time and he will make Clemson elite again. If 10 win seasons are down years then I will take it.

No reason for us to lose to Louisville. GA should have been a close game. Program overall is solid, but we are lacking on the details.

Why are you so concerned about Dabo’s salary? Does it come out of your pocket? I think all HCs and all Pro athletes are ridiculously over paid but CDS salary is commiserate with his peers and his accomplishments. You (and a few others) whining about it constantly won’t change it.

That argument makes no sense , he’s laid bc he’s one of the best coaches the game has seen in the last 10-15 years and earned that based on accomplishments and the hope he can adapt and change … you don’t pay coaches based on the previous season salary haha come on you are more intelligent than that… go look at the top 15-20 coaches and tell me where they are getting their return … most are underachieving based on that argument outside of Kirby and they are one loss from not even making the 12 team playoff prob so $H!t happens we are in a lull and Dabo is a slow adjuster … he will make changes and I expect to see a few portal guys next year …. The salary and investment crap gets old seeing though.

It's actually 12 million per year in the final years of the contract. It averages 11.5 million but started a little lower and gradually increases. Lane Kiffin is only making 9 million per year. Is Dabo 33% better than Lane? Ah, no. He just blew UGA out of the stadium with sub par talent and a whole bunch of great play calling. To quote the man, "we got who we got".

How do you call a program solid that has a D line that has been without a sack in 2 straight games against mid tier ACC teams? D end play from back ups has been putrid. Thank goodness Sammy had a good game and VT had their skill guys injured. We didn't just beat Bama or UGA. It's another team that's won nothing in 15 years.
