Restaurants for Valentine's

I hate this holiday, but - the chicks (particularly my wife!) dig it, so here we are. For me, trying to get reservations this far in advance is good. But, as you all know, I'm sure, it's not quite enough for the much coveted VD reservation.
So - any good but maybe less common places to check for Valentine's Day dinners around Greenville or maybe Greer? Doesn't help that it's on a Friday night this year.
We had Bucky's BBQ cater our wedding, so I really don't understand by BBQ isn't good enough for Valentine's Day, but what do I know.... obviously, not nearly enough!
I know Waffle House used to do a nice Valentine's Day thing where they had white tablecloths, real silverware, and a rose on the table, but she's nixed that.
Looking for a nice, not necessarily expensive, but usually that's what it means, spot around Greenville. We currently have 4:30 reservations at Tupelo Honey downtown (b/c that's all I could find today!), but we've been there several times and are open to someplace new.
And btw, you wanna talk about a Valentine's money grab?? Saskatoon's in Greenville. "Special" Valentine's menu - $275 per couple. That's NUTS. Ain't no way I'm paying that much for something that will be completely gone in about 30-6o minutes!

Hard to find a nice spot for V-tines without one of those prefix menus.

I like the Waffle House idea. I can't think of many better ways to say "I love you" with food beyond securing a triple order of hashbrowns for someone.
And Saskatoon -- is that the place where you can order elk and ostrich and buffalo and all that?

I think your wife would be pleasantly surprised if you decided just to spend the evening at home cooking together and seeing how many wonderful dishes you can whip up using delicious, high-quality SPAM® canned meat. This is just the kind of thing that illustrates the teamwork it takes for a husband and wife to build a happy, lasting marriage on!

If it's just the two of you, try Augusta Grill. It's not downtown Greenville, but the food is good and they usually don't take reservations for small parties. Would get there perhaps by 5:30-5:45.
It's a 29605 thing, but as of now, a passport is not required.

They used to be open for lunch back in the day.
I also like Northampton Wines - good food just a little way off the beaten trail aka Main Street.
