The end time for the 23-24 season will be sometime around midnight tomorrow. Spring practices will start all the country in less than 2 months so don't waste your time reading the article.

Lots to disagree with here. I reject the notion that the idea CFB fan is some gambler checking his phone for scores. True fans are still fans: they show up for games, watch on TV, post opinions on sites like this, and care very much who wins (and not for monetary reasons). The schools he cites as become irrelevant, if we're considering championship caliber, already are irrelevant.

Though I would like to, I don't think I can agree. Having attended a smaller school I saw how difficult it is to compete with larger programs. I can't help but think this will prove true as things progress. Somehow it's easier for folks to make it to Columbia and Clemson for a ball game than it is to go to Charleston. Spartanburg out Greenville. When Vanderbilt, Duke and others get kicked down, a level, their fans will still pull gir them, but they'll likely be watching some other schools games.

When you give a Mackey mouse company control of college football this is what you get...wanting excitement and scoring...so no FSU defensive team (they really did not deserve it in the end...Orange bowl would call them Indian givers) but Bama and Mich was a purely defensive struggle with a touch of excitement in the end...OK. for them not so good for the squaws....once upon a time in college football it the excitement of the game experience in the stadium...that has ended...bowl games, sectional rivalries will die...just like the student athlete!
