Prayers for the people of Oklahoma

May 20, 2013, 8:08 PM

I am sorry if this is not the right place, but I felt compelled to ay that we all need to lift our prayers for the people of Moore, OK. It's times like these that we need to appreciate what we have and pray for those who have lost so much. I pray that the death toll is not as devastating as what is being indicated right now.

Amen....

terrible devastation everywhere creating such misery...hope the death toll is low but sounds like school children are lost...hope this is wrong. People in that area have a long road ahead...very sad.

It's absolutely breaking my heart. As a teacher, it's devastating to think of those poor children. I know I will give each of my 4th graders extra hugs tomorrow!

The video from there is horrible - I don't know how anyone makes it through something like that without an underground shelter. I know many people there do have them- I just hope they made it inside before this thing hit.

Many prayers.***

I can't even imagine what the parents are going through who have missing children--not knowing either way, for sure.

An important and timely post regardless of the venue.

A horrible tragedy like this should make all of us consider priorities; thus, I am certain all TNetters, regardless of school affiliation, will share in the grief and heartfelt condolences.

More prayers today for Moore, OK

May 21, 2013, 7:10 AM

The death toll this morning is 91--they are still searching for people. God be with them all.

Ugh, hadn't heard that yet! I hugged my children a little longer last night while putting them to bed and when dropping them off at school/day care this morning. My heart is broken for the loved ones of the lost!

Now they are saying the count was incorrect--24 have died. Thankful that it was a mistake!

Absolutely!

I just hope that it stays at that number and doesn't go any higher after all the searching is done.
