I would hate to ruin his life with a felony conviction. Return rock and PTI is sufficient. He just wanted "a piece of the rock", and a few brews gave him and his buddies the courage.

did actual property damage to a priceless part of Clemson history. He didn't just make a mistake or something. He deliberately broke off a piece. If he didn't want his life ruined, he shouldn't have done it.

Prank vs Non Prank
Jun 28, 2013, 5:48 PM

|
Prank: Spray painting field
Non Prank: Irreparably damaging Howards rock
Sort of like the difference between egging someones house, which is annoying, and burning someone's house down.

Solicitors call if punishment doesnt seem to align with crime...that clause is for situations exactly like this....1st offense..he should get PTI.. provide restitution and get comm service.

Would be a slap in the face to all Clemson fans to accept anything less. It would say we are doormats and our traditions and icons are unimportant.

I don't care if he's a fan of Clemson, Jesus Christ, me, or my momma. What he did isn't a "prank". The spoiled turd needs to go to jail and have a life-altering record.

He better not get PTI
Jun 28, 2013, 7:49 PM
|

If he had realized he made a drunken (or not) stupid mistake and came forward soon after the crime and turned himself in, then MAYBE PTI. But he was hoping to get away with it, and according to his lawyer, still hasn't admitted any guilt. He's a stupid lying no-good piece of crap, and needs to be taught a lesson.
