NC State Tailgate/Parking

Oct 15, 2018, 11:54 AM

Fellow Tigers fans, I need your help!!! My girlfriend and I are traveling down from NYC for the game this weekend and I'm looking for any/all advice. The last game I was able to come down for was the Winston v. Boyd, top 5, gameday showdown about 6 years ago. This will be my girlfriend's first home game ever and I'd love to show her the best time possible. Living in NYC, we travel each year to Boston College or Syracuse (depending on year) (We graduated college in 2011). We have already purchased tickets in the lower bowl and I'm trying to find out what to do about the tailgate. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we should do? Is there a big tailgate for visitors with some sort of food/drink set up? Is it best to just take her to the Esso Club for the day? Should I spend a lot of money on resale market to buy a parking spot when there is only two of us? We're flying into Charlotte so it's not like we'll have much to tailgate with, etc.

Any and ALL help is EXTREMELY appreciated. I've met some amazing Clemson family during past tailgates and would love to keep the tradition alive.

Thanks and Go Tigers!!
John

I would check to see if any of your fellow Alums will be tailgating and invite you to theirs. You'll want to get a parking pass for somewhere, but not to do your own tailgate. You can also check with the Clemson Alumni Association and if you're not a member, then you should join. They may have a sponsored tailgate/party going on somewhere. Since this is homecoming weekend, you'll want to walk around Bowman Field, around the campus and of course, go to the Esso Club. If you walk through some of the tailgating areas, you might get invited to join in with some of them.

Go Tigers!!!

Bring rain gear and head to Esso Club.
