Bingo.

Tampering rules are simply a farce, theatrics intended to deceive CFB fans into thinking that the NCAA is trying to prevent big $$$ teams from ‘seducing’ players who had been fully content with their smaller $ program into switching (via $$$ and other considerations) via the portal to the big $$$ team.

Of course this process takes place, or is at least initiated, by entities other than coaches or administrators directly (“directly” is the operative adverb) contacting their target player at the smaller $ school.

Agents, buddies of the coaches at the big $$$ schools (ideally ‘buddies’ that already know the target player &/or the player’s family), or agents from the big $$$ school contacting their target player’s agent; these are just a few easy-to-think-of paths to skirt tampering rules.

Furthermore, there is ZERO that restrains a player from initiating contact with another team’s coaches.

It’s the same as the private sector when Company A is looking for professional level (experienced aka proven) talent from competitors. Employment agents (slang term for them is ‘head hunters’) do this for a living.

Just stop it with this virtue signaling ‘tampering us against the rules’ nonsense. CFB is a professional jobs market. The ‘rules’ should treat it as such.

They've recruited offensive linemen every year the portal has been in place and missed on all of them.

Bingo. His response to losing our most recent flips to other schools "I have no comment and Onward we go" speaks volumes.
