Hunter was a 2 star recruit. He had to walk on and grind his way to a scholarship. Nolan Turner is a no star recruit who didn't have to take that path because his father has a personal relationship with Coach Swinney. Two completely different scenarios. One earned, one given based on friendship.

You're correct, The comparison is flawed by the fact Hunter Renfrow has an intact family not devistated by a cruel and deadly disease. I would hope, if someone had the chance to do the right, compassionate thing in giving a young man a chance to live a somewhat normal life, they would do it regardless of the mindless criticism from people that only care about trivial things like "stars" and "national recognition." It's interesting, some here worry about Dabo leaving one day for a better opportunity and I've always believed he will be a Clemson man for as long as he chooses but this kind of criticism of his judgement in recruiting is a game changer. Keep it up, another school, any school would love to have him after the arrogance and stupidity of some "fans" run him off!

Dabo does it differently. If you don't like it, find another team to pull for. I'll trust his judgement and if he was doing a favor for a friend, so be it. It's part of what makes HIS program at Clemson unique. There is a big picture mentality with Coach Swinney. Trust him!!

one pass in HS. He was a brilliant wild-cat type qb (MVP in MB area) but only 5'9'' about 155 with offers from smaller schools, who probably wanted him as QB. So to come to Tigers and become an outstanding receiver shows what an all around athlete he is. I cannot see Nolan matching his achievements, but I hope he becomes quality player for us instead of a wasted scholarship.
