student section all in lower sideline so TV would pick up on it.
These new arenas are just much more sleek than ours.

The inside of McMamish Pavilion (GT) is sick. Very modern, NBAish looking facility that is the perfect size for their fan base.

easy to see why Brownell can't sell our basketball program when kids visit other places and see the facilities.
The biggest deal is practice facility. Not sure if anyone has seen ours, but it's pretty terrible compared to most.

NCState is a spreadout arena -- too large for us.

UVA's BB facility looks like a basketball court. Much closer to what Clemson needs. But I think Littlejohn simply needs some unique renovations.

We don't need what UVA, NC State, UMD, UL, Pitt and on and on and on have. What we need is something that will at the very least give our coach a fighting chance. We need a smaller, modern, amenity filled arena that creates an atmosphere. LJ has nothing. Its an old shoebox held up by rusted beams with no practice area.
Its time for a new modern, smaller arena.

no sir, i am infact quite serious, if we had a team that could compete more students would go, our basketball team is currently a joke because most of the guys are too young, and the 2 "old guys" are bonafide scrubs, essp. jennings

How do we recruit players? Look at football pre West Zone

and post West Zone.
You've gotta keep up with your competitors in order to field a team.

goes for all sports. Basketball and baseball need some work to keep up with other schools in the area. Virginia saved its baseball program by making significant facility upgrades and look what it's done for them. South Carolina certainly didn't win any championships playing in Sarge Frye. Facilities matter.

small that we can fill up and pack fans as close to the floor as humanly possible. Also need a standing only student section running the sideline like Duke, NC State, etc have.

that it would be good to add in the ability to expand seating easily. When Purnell really had us in the thick of things and people believed we could win on any given night then the place was full. We have to build something to recruit to and have an appropriate atmosphere. and when those recruits become successful we need to be able to meet demand for seating cheaply.

If designed right, would also attract top music acts, events, conventions, etc... JPJ UVa is the example for that.

While I agree with a need for a complete overhaul of LJ, I can't include NC State's facility as a college arena. State's arena was built for the Hurricanes. NHL money built that arena if I am correct. If I'm wrong, I was misled about it's funding.
