Late game against the press last night

The Tigers did a solid job handling the press and scoring. I would have been easy to get rattled but they performed well and keep getting good shots for the most part. Bama is oretty good and threw everything they had at them but we didn't flinch

of the 1st half and almost all of the 2nd half, and I don't remember a single turnover in the backcourt despite Bama pressuring us on every inbounds. They looked really calm out there.

Starting to see Bama's identity. They're average is 30+ free throws a game. They shoot the 3 ball a lot. In both their losses, they've chucked 30 and 35 against us. Not sustainable. Great when you're on but a bigger team will beat them usually. Different Bama team than 2 years ago and last year. They'll make the tournament but probably won't get far. I project their net to end up 40ish.

Bama is really good and did an excellent job of penetrating and then kicking the ball out. They were also very good working on the inside and drawing fouls ........ some of which we actually did commit. It was really an impressive win for us and if we continue to shoot 3's like we did last night, we can be really good. Congrats on an excellent performance. Go Tigers!

For the season Bama is shooting

50.8% from the floor and 40.7% from three. Last night they shot 34.3% and 31.4%. A good bit of credit for that goes to our defensive effort, but some of it was just Bama having a bad shooting night.

Both of their losses have been in poor shooting efforts so it's very possible that they will flame out of tournaments in similar fashion, but they do still have the #1 offense in the country per KenPom's offensive efficiency metric, and they will probably do pretty well over the course of the regular season since the variance caused by shooting a lot of 3s tends to smooth out over ~30 games.

Their biggest issue right now is their defense.
