I can understand you not approving of the practice if it is contrary to your beliefs, but it’s really significant enough to make you mad. You’re not being required to attend yourself are you? I hope you don’t ever go out to eat on Sunday.

that some time was set about for worship, if the staff and campers desired to attend. Just my thoughts, I don't know for sure. I know in the fifty plus years, that I supported my family, and all the hundreds, and hundreds of Sundays, that I worked, we always found a way, and time to attend worship services. However; if you feel that strongly about it, why not shoot an email off to Dabo, and make your thoughts known to him. This board can't do anything about it, so why not go to the source of your discontent.

The world has changed and not everyone believes what you believe. If Dabo is there they are hearing God’s word for sure. The most likely explanation for Sunday camps is to make it convenient for the working parents of these players.

Traditionally the sabbath is Saturday. Do you have a problem with playing football games on saturday?

The Sabbath was yesterday. Saturday is the Sabbath. Not Sunday. Christians chose Sunday as their worship day because Christ arose on a Sunday. He observed the Sabbath by resting in his tomb on Saturday.

So, are you saying I don’t have a legitimate excuse to not cut the grass on Sundays? Cause those are fighting words. lol. seriously, I avoid work on sundays but I still consider football camp as fun.
Looking back the coaches worked us kids pretty hard. The last day was usually just the championship football game in the stadium. I’m rambling….

The sabbath actually used to be saturday in first and 2nd century. If you want to be techinical about it. To me the Sabbath is whatever day you choose to learn about and honor God. Make your own Sabbath each day is the best advice I give and don't worry when others choose to have theirs.
