The first Playoff rankings come out and I really could care less because it will be first, not the last.
If we are 13-0 we are in the Playoffs but the national perception continues to be that the ACC is not a great conference. The ACC has 4 ranked teams after Week 9 and that doesn't often happen and that is good thing. The question is how many teams from the conference will be ranked the 1st of December?

One thing that affects the perception of the ACC is how it stacks up nationally in total offense and total defense. In Total Yards on offense, the SEC has 5 teams in the Top 15 including Tenn at 1 and UGA at 2. The ACC only has UNC at 8 and FSU at 16. In Total Yards on defense, the SEC has 4 teams in the Top 20 and the ACC has 2, Syracuse at 16 and NC State at 17.

We are getting better on both offense and defense and wins depend on having more points than your opponent regardless of how many yards you gain or give up. We can kick in the perception door as long as we win and laugh all the way to New Year's Eve.

Why the comparison with just the SEC? What about the Big 10, Pac 12, or the Big 12? It appears that you have a perception!

ACC needs to recruit a lot better to be in many comparisons to a couple of those teams you mentioned.

Problem being not but a handful of ACC teams take football as serious as they do basketball.
