I think you guys will be in the championship game in the next 4 years, but making that type of statement before the guy has seen the field is pure speculation at this point. Guys like Charlie Whitehurst are exceptional and often not really on the radar. For all you know, Wade may be that guy. Little bit early to anoint Korn.

My money's on transfer over graduating, unless he's Doogie Howser, M.D.

I think you're missing the point. The guy implicitly stated

that we should still be recruiting QBs because no one on campus was good enough to win the ACC Championship.
To me, that is ludicrous.

why the coaching staff is done with QBs.....we have 3 guys on campus and 1 committed.
I didn't ask it, but I guess I am asking what the thoughts are with Reese and Tribble - I have heard that coaches weren't happy with their progress. Neither one beat out Proctor, and I never heard it was even close, and he seemed to struggle against solid competition this year.
I didn't implicitly say anything.....I thought it was a valid question on recruiting.

to me as though you were being a smartass regarding our QB situation and poking fun at our lack of ACC Championship caliber QBs with your statement.
But just for fun, let me make one of my own.
Since CU has three QBs on campus and has recruited the top dual threat QB in the country in 2007 and has filed its needs at QB, I guess that means CU should keep recruiting more QBs who our coaches did not evaluate as highly as that top dual threat QB...regardless of numerous other facts including needs at other positions and limited scholarships to give.

Harper and Reese were far behind. To me that is scary. However, according to Plyler the coaches are very excited about Wade and of course Korn is supposed to be very good.
Actually, QB is probably the position that concerns me the most next year, with the OL being a close second.

Wade maybe the guy and too early on Korn well put. In addition to keep Korn we may have promissed not to pursue other QB's

addition, people get hurt, things happen out of the norm, etc.
There are a number of GREAT HS QBs in history who have had all the hype in the world that didn't pan out to be great college QBs.
I am not saying he will or won't, but to put all the eggs in one basket at such a key position doesn't seem that savvy to me. Southern Cal doesn't seem to have an issue stockpiling QBs. Or Texas. Or ND (they go after every top guy even when one came in last year or committed this year). Or Michigan. Or anyone else.
Maybe that just means we are waiting for next years guys.

From what I've heard we're recruiting one of the top QBs

coming out of high school next year also. Can't remember his name.
The fact is there are limited scholarships to give and you can't just go crazy and recruit a gazilion QBs just because you believe there isn't an ACC-championship caliber QB on campus.
We had room for one. We got one of the best. No need to keep recruiting QBs this year because there are other needs to fill.

One reason we are not recruiting another top Qb , may be because we know we cannot get them this year. no problem with that!

I am very interested if anyone has leads on the following: Joe McKnight or Demetrice Goode, Dwight Jones, Rob Gronkowski, Carlos Dunalop, and Lorenzo Edwards. Where are the kids and the other ones on the board leaning toward?
