People dislike Barker?

Jun 29, 2013, 12:45 PM

(By the way, I think those people are wrong. He has done a good job).
But it's not even CLOSE to what Michael Adams faces.

Even after retirement, Adams will remain involved with the NCAA, serving on the enforcement committee. There’s a good chance he might pop up in an advisory role at some point, whether it’s at the SEC or NCAA level or even at Georgia.

LOL, on Dooley not taking a shot at Adams, who knows where all the skeletons that are in Vince's cheating closet.

announced his retirement major improvements are on the rise at Clemson. I for one am glad Barker is gone. His tenure has been one of embarrassment for Clemson with the slush fund scandal, the defunding of the Tiger Band, the lower level of success in athletics during his tenure, cheating to get a higher ranking from the non respected US News and World Report top colleges issue, and most blasphemous of all letting a shamecock dot the i after they had lost total control of their football program and had academic fraud and a pay for play scheme.

a Clemson degree has increased greatly; however, the dotting of the "i" by our rivals was much more disgraceful than the damage to the rock. The "i" incident was the darkest day in Clemson history outside of that January, 1990 day........JMHO.

magazine issue of top colleges. It's unbelievable Barker continued to brag about that ranking after that scandal happened. And in the first place for years college academia has looked down on US News and World Report college issue as wildly inaccurate. Clemson has always been good academically. Clemson didn't need to cheat on a non respected magazine issue to prove the point of how good Clemson is academically. Trust me, outside of the world of the Barkertologists he is viewed unfavorably.

tiger formation by the band back in our game against them in 2006. Over some silly show of "sportsmanship", because of the 2004 brawl that the coots started. Sorry but you don't bend over for a school that had a pay for play scheme and had academic fraud going on with their athletes.

Barker has been a brilliant president

Jun 29, 2013, 3:20 PM

I have been watching him since he brought the architecture school to one of top of nation. Then he helped bring the football program as well as the academics up to one of the best public universities. We should be very grateful to this outstanding leader! tigeron '66

about 5 years too long when it was obvious he was never going to take us to the next level, and gave him a huge buyout which paid Bowden for 4 years after he was fired. Clemson's architecture school has always been good.

Jun 29, 2013, 6:25 PM

like tigerdrummer guaranteed was going to happen. You can bring that alum stuff up all you want, but at least I never quit on our football team and predicted they would get whooped over a loss which was due to us giving up on the running game after the 1st qtr.

If fan's like me didn't exist you would have never attended Clemson. So please stop this alum vs fan thing. I have had plenty of family members attend Clemson. I have spent tons of money over the years on Clemson. I've been to well over 100 Clemson football games and been to other athletic events. I've been wearing orange non stop in Cootlumbia for my whole life. So don't even try that kind of tactic.

TigerKing/Blue Caddy/low country whatever your name is now. I missed your wildly inaccurate boasting of garbage! Barker has done a great job at Clemson!
