PSU offered. They certainly seem to have the money.

Seems risky to go looking for another DC when you already have one of the best in the business on your sideline. 600k a year isn't that much right now.

moving on (nfl, portal, etc.) and they lose to Michigan yet again. It could be a penthouse to the outhouse situation b/c people were growing tired of Ryan Day,, even this season there were talks of booting him.

Lets say they play second fiddle to Penn State or Oregon next year and Knowles does well at PSU. MAybe then they say they won the championship b/c of him and OSU wants him to be their HC. Might be his way of getting that offer. But if he's stil on OSU staff and they lose 3 games next season then all bets are off and they clean house.

Probably still having to pay some out to Sandusky’s victims.

That football money gets spread around to all those sports that do nothing but cost the university money. Not sure how many sports they play at PSU but it’s hard to say what is leftover after all the bills are paid and all the other sports are funded.

Lots of rumors going around. Supposedly Day got more involved with the defense after the first Oregon game. What all that entailed? Who knows. There was talk of Knowles and Def Line Coach not seeing eye to eye on rotation and utilizing certain positions. Maybe Knowles was just ready for a change. Knowles can’t get any hotter than right now so he might as well get everything he can.
