It's become Nearly Impossible to sneak in alcohol anymore. I had the best seat cushion that had secret compartments in it. Four cans and 1/2 dozen mini bottles were a given. To be smart about it, the beer had to be Chugged in the Bathroom Stall!

If I were a player, the last thing I would want to do after a game (win or lose) is interact with fans. They’d probably be happy if this tradition ended.

Was blessed to go to my first game in The Valley in '76 at five years old with my grandad. He graduated from Clemson in 1948 and joined IPTAY in '49. I grew up running on the field to get autographs/sweatbands and if you hit the jackpot a chin strap. I've watched both my boys grow up and run onto that field and do the same. Very disappointing for me to see that tradition come to an end. Was sorry to see the balloon release when they fired the cannon end as well. Go Tigers!!

The sport changes. If you watch a Clemson game played in the 80s you'll see lots of defensive plays that will get a player thrown out of the game immediately. QBs are protected more. The offensive line can push a runner forward ten yards with no penalty. Going further back our band no longer plays "Dixie" at every game and the Country Gentleman is no long dressed and roaming the sideline.
Similarly, in most conferences the crowd cannot rush the field.
So the game and the circumstances change. Clemson fans must change too.
