"Clemson might not have looked all that impressive in its first game. The Tigers certainly didn't put on the same type of display as No. 1 Alabama, their opponent from last year's title game and the team they're chasing in the polls this year.

None of that matters, though. The No. 2 team in the country survived. And more importantly, Watson can lick his chops knowing he has a healthy Williams to throw to the rest of the season. Williams' return makes the Tigers' offense that much more dangerous, and with the way the defense played in the first game, this is still a legitimate playoff contender."
