Football transfer portal is fools gold

Hope Beamer and his cherry picking of 1/7 of his roster blows up in glorious fashion. In football, this reeks of poor roster management and selling out to the coach’s benefit

he made it work last season. They were better with a bunch of transfers than they have been in years with "descent" recruiting.
Anyway, it's Cola. Things always have a way of imploding at Cola.

I remember when Jackie Sherrill, built Mississippi St up on Juco’s. No one was working Juco’s like Jackie. That #### came tumbling down really hard.

USuC would lose 9 or more 10 game out of 10 to both teams. uSuc will lose the to UT and Clemson both in 2023. By a lot of points.
Beamer is sham. A charlatan. A used car salesman. He’s been coaching in college for over 20 years. He’s nothing more than an enthusiastic clown. He doesn’t know X’s and O’s, at all.

Well, yes .. but insisting on starting and playing the wrong QB hurt us much more.

I'm not convinced we would've won with Cade.

There is a reason he wasn't the starter all year until the end.

He should not have been the starter all year long but a case can be made that perhaps he was more ready than anyone was letting on toward the end of the season. You certainly heard his teammates voice that based on what they saw every day in practice. I think the UNC game kind of showed that as well.

You can't possibly be this ignorant. Dabo held Cade because he didn't wanna show his hand to North Carolina. Dabo was convinced he could beat South Carolina with big Stinko, but he didn't count on Streeter totally going brain dead on playcalling. Winning the ACC is way more important to Dabo, and many Clemson fans like myself, than beating the gamecocks. We've beat them so many times. It's no big deal if they win one here and there. I feel the plan all along was to play Cade in the ACC Championship game. Dabo is way smarter than you think, and way smarter than that turnip Brad Brownell you support

I’d say bigger issue than QB play was offensive play calling. We win the game even with bad qb play if we run the ball. Luckily our two biggest weaknesses last year have been addressed by the head coach and we will be better for it this year. I do love a head coach that knows how to improve his program even when the improvement comes off a season ending in a conference championship.

I'm not Judge but QB was probably the biggest issue. A close second was the rat burned our ###. One was as bad as the other imo.

You’re a weaselly troll, and you hardly understand the differences in basketball and football.
Speaking of basketball, whose fault is it that Clemson basketball can’t rise above mediocrity, the players or coaching? It’s been 13 years, it’s CLEARLY COACHING.
Brad is nothing more than a mediocre or less than mediocre basketball coach.
Deal with it once and for all, and stop being such a weaselly troll, troll.
Thank you. Goodbye.

2 turnovers on special teams plays were costly as well.

Since Clemson doesn't use the portal I hope you are correct. There's enough evidence of teams really improving by using the portal. I sure hope the Dabo way works.

I agree with you that trying to build a program through the portal is fool's gold. But using to fill positions that either had early departures or misses in recruiting is not.
