Our football schedule is hurting

Recruiting. I was watching Dion s YouTube channel and noticed Colorado played TCU in week one. We ll probably get primetime in primetime that week. Then I noticed UNC plays the team to our south. Another big game, because the UNC kid will be an early Heisman pick.
FSU plays LSU. Many are picking FSU ahead of us. We re stuck with 3 cupcakes the first month of the season. We won't even be talked about outside the state of SC
If we are a big deal we need big games. Both for the $ and for recruiting.
We should always play a big out of conference game week one every year.
No?

No, we should not. If we win big with our schedule we will be where we want to be at season's end and with recruits. Most years we need an early games to get our legs under us and work ou the bugs.

Notre Dame is our big out of conference

next year is georgia
what hurts us is Clemson defense always injures star QBs after our game vs them
then our pops are trashed for the remainder of the year

They play two "playoff contenders" and three heisman contenders. That's not a bad schedule.

1. Clemson/Duke is on Labor Day night. National audience. Only game on.
2. Has any recruit ever said, "I'm not going to Clemson because their schedule is too easy"?

Duke has won a game since Clemson has. Whipped UCF in their bowl game. Had they been the coastal rep in the ACCCG back in December they possibly could have given the Tigers a better game than the Heels.

For the one millionth time, nothing is hurting your d'mn recruiting. Your recruiting is just fine and you won championships with classes just like this last one. My gosh some of you guys are mental.

If we actually had a schedule with "big out of conference games" during the 2022 season, we easily could have been 8-4. I think that would hurt recruiting way more than the lack of exposure you perceive we are missing out on.

The only thing hurting our recruiting is the results on the field. To make a jump back into the top 3-5 we will need to destroy these lesser talented teams and not get blown off the field again like we did against ND.
