more knowledge of the game than I do. Why didn't we put pressure on this first time starter freshman qb? I'm may be wrong but I don't think he was sacked a single time. What is going on here?

But many of their pass plays were quick throws designed specifically to prevent pressure from getting to the young QB. The second half they mostly ran the ball. Again, we did dial up some pressure, but their play calling wasn’t conducive to it.

Can't throw a quick slant our quick out? Why does it have to be a moon scraper or a 15 yard sideways pass? QB running for his life. Can't run the ball. Seems like some quick hits would be in order. We're not capable?

We had 5 yards of offense in the whole quarter according to DHood. That's pretty inept. We were clearly the better team for 3 quarters, and then we pulled a disappearing act. Got absolutely manhandled up front on both sides of the ball and had no answers. It's disappointing. I guess I'm complaining, but you gotta admit this is pretty uninspiring to watch right now

You didn't see it in the 4th quarter because the offense was not on the field for most of the 4th quarter.

We stacked the box in the 4th. Our D had been on the field for a long time. They were tired. Miami capitalized. Blaming Wes, not saying that is what you are doing, would show an absolute ignorance of football.

So the defense fumbled the ball at the goal line? Yes they gave up one big play for a TD. They absolutely stuffed Miami while our offense went 3 out just about every series when it mattered. Wes had guys in position to make plays. The players have to do something at some point.

No one is blaming Wes. It just seems that to say a superior team can be outfoxed by a first time starter inexperienced freshman qb is a real stretch. Yes, our guys got gased in the 4th quarter but we had the other 3 to do something. Implying that we just couldn't adjust and firgure this out would also be an absilute ignorance of football.

Not accurate. When we went up 17-7 with 2 minutes left in the 3rd, the defense had only been on the field for 35 plays up to that point. Our defense should not have been "gassed" after 35 plays going into the 4th.

They had the ball 17 minutes more than us. Our D played over a quarter more than theirs.

Overall assessment: Miami should be 6-2. They had ga. Tech beat and could have taken a knee. Instead fumbled and GT scored. Final play call sucked. Fourth and inches. Give it to mafah!

I think we tried, but when we brought blitz, he made us pay for it. Bring inexperienced can be useful against blitz. His inexperience causes him to favor his dump routes. He has already found them before blitz gets there.

Well first of all, it's hard to get pressure onbthe quarterback when he isn't passing the ball. Miami ran the ball for lord knows how many yards.
Besides that, Miami didn't run many plays where the quarterback sat in the pocket. The called a lot of quick throws where the quarterback only looked at one receiver and threw the ball. They threw it too quickly for pressure to get there.

Didn't you know we were going to lose when this game went into OT? I think 98.5% did.
Do you know why? We absolutely suck in the red zone. OT for us is like a death sentence.

Didn’t “know” but had a very bad feeling. When the announcers were bashing Miami for running out the clock and playing for overtime that was my thought. They had to believe they were better inside the 25 than we are. Most teams are. And they were.

Also, we don't have a running game to occupy the linebackers and defense backs like Miami does.

That’s why every time Miami threw the ball downfield it was 1 on 1. We were sending them but nobody was getting there
