wondering if you all would do what I have done or not......

I ordered a >$100 home network device (just to keep it generic) from Amazon recently. I hate ordering anything from Amazon, but they were $50 cheaper than anywhere else. Not a Prime member or anything like that.

When it arrives, the plug-in 9VDC/3A transformer/power supply is dead, completely titsup DOA. Try as I may, it won't work.

So I call Amazon to send me a new power supply. They say their "policy" is for me to mail everything back and they would send me a complete new one. These plugs are like $3.99 on their own site, and I point that out. Nope, too bad, gotta mail the whole thing back, then they send me new one.

I go in my workshop, dig in my box full of old electrical junk (hey, I come from a long line of dirt farmers, I save everything). Find an exact match.

Device works perfectly with this new transformer, no issues.

I have 30 days to exchange if I want. But is it worth it? I kinda need this device to keep my home network running right, it replaced a unit that went bad. Should I go though the trouble of packing it back up, mailing off, waiting probably a week for all the processing and crap? Or do I just keep this one?

Order a new New one. When it arrives take the Old one and return it. I do it all the time with Amazon. I have brilliant smart home controls and many of those are 200+, and I've got busted ones, I keep (like u I grew up farm/textile family) and I just return the dead one for full rebate.

it’s worth the 50 to get nearby and if any issues you’ve got people and a place.

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

Order the replacement then return the other one when it gets there***

I ordered a chainsaw on Amazon.

It arrived with a broken case. I told customer support. They sent me a new chainsaw and said to "dispose" of the other one. So then I had two chainsaws.

Not sure what you're doing wrong with them. Maybe it's personal.
