When Dabo leaves, sooner or later, be ready to compete financially with the new world of college football. TTU style.

Building teams with low portal numbers and putting experience over talent isn't translating to wins.

FSU, TTU, LSU, etc etc, are all competing at higher levels by buying talent. Buying talent for immediate results is outweighing developing players.

I don't like it, but as a business owner I've had to adjust to changes even if when I didn't want to. You have to adapt to remain competitive and relevant.

I'm a Dabo fan, he's done an amazing job and by no means am I slighting his accomplishments. Don't want to see him go, I'd rather see him plug holes where we need it on the team while retaining the talent we still have on the roster. He's a great recruiter and could easily go pluck some talent from the portal. At the same time replace some of the "buddy system" hires with proven position coaches.

He's already given so much money to the players we have, there's nothing to give to replacements without running off the present ones..... something else that Dabo will not want to do. His loyalty to his players likely won't change.

Clemson last year was #9 in the country in NIL spend. It's not that we don't have the budget. It's just that Dabo insists on only using it to "retain" existing players (I.e. incentivize them to not transfer elsewhere) rather than to bring in new guys.

Portal issues could be covered up if our players improved year to year
