It's amazing how much stuff Clemson is able to keep

out of the news...People get shot, etc., and somehow, it gets buried and nobody ever hears about it.
For instance, evidentially last week somebody knocked on a girls apt. door at The Heritage (I believe the name has now been changed) at approximately 1 in the morning, and when they opened it (like idiots), several guys busted in, and held them at gunpoint while they robbed them. This is FAR from the first time something like this has happened over there, yet you never hear about it, and they never make an arrest. A similar instance happened to a family friend TWICE at two different complexes. In those particular circumstances, they weren't able to gain entry, but scared the sheet out of the girl nonetheless.
Fast forward to last night...Somebody comes knocking at another one of my female friends door. Luckily, they had the good sense not to answer, but it happened around midnight and they were not expecting anyone. They knocked several times they said, and supposedly seemed to be trying to listen to what was going on inside. They stayed quiet and whoever it was went away. Could be totally innocent, but scary considering what's been going on recently.
It just totally amazes me how they're able to keep all of this stuff under wraps. If you didn't live in the area or know a lot of people who did, you'd think it was just a safe, quaint little town with no crime other than underage drinking and some pot here and there...But there's some sketchy stuff been going down in C-Town, so be aware if you got chitlins out that way.

with a story like that. They've got a story on Conner Shaw becoming a father for Perry's sake, you'd think they'd jump all over something with a bit of substance.

I thought that forced sexual assault by coot football players was just so old hat that they actually received course credit for it.

image, but it just surprises me that nothing ever gets picked up in today's world of instant communication and social media.
I mean, I'd consider a bunch of young college girls getting robbed a gunpoint a pretty big story. They're honestly lucky something worse didn't happen. Just wait though, it'll escalate until someone gets shot or raped again, then they'll hold a news conference saying "Ohh, this is so random, this type of thing never happens here and we're taking it seriously".
Until then, they'll just continue to focus on the speeders and underage drinkers.

you really like police officers and appreciate what they do, and feel the CUPD should hire 15 more to handle these kinds of incidents and keep general vigil over the student population.

it was the only thing in the car and the only thing stolen. CUPD laughed, promising a full investigation.

What did you expect man, they couldn't ticket you for that, why should they care?

office window, so I called the cops. We had had an altercation in the parking lot before, so I saw his car. I gave the make/model and a general description of the guy to the cops and 2 weeks later, they came me with an id card lineup. A week later, they had charged him.he ended up going with pre-trial intervention or something.
Probably the finest bit of police work to come out of the CPD.
