The person reporting inflation numbers gets to keep their job at least one more month.

Well, dropping policies that increase the cost of every imported good for no apparent reason would be a place to consider starting.

When the board clowns who told us tariffs would be good

Are sitting on their thumbs because, oops, now they realize that tariffs actually do suck for the economy. And WE are the ones who pay for it; all that revenue they're bragging about is on our backs.
I'll note, too, any restaurant owner who voted Trump: hope you're enjoying punching yourself in the ####.

Airfares, Dental Care, Auto Insurance, Medical Care, and Rent were among the biggest drivers of upside in CPI... NONE of which have ANYTHING to do with tariffs (even if you squint)

Market seems to be reacting pretty favorably to these numbers. Guess it'll be at least another month before you can be proven right about how tariffs are gonna blow up inflation.

Inflation from pandemic induced supply chain disruptions are more significant

Inflation from tariffs will be more gradual. The rate of pricing change are different based upon cause (i.e. disruption to the existing system / supply chain and demand).
