Wasn’t in the cards for me but would loved to have been an alum. Do get down there as much as possible though. Always feels like home!

45 years ago but everytime I come back to Clemson I feel at home - just like the day I graduated. It feels exactly the same.

The hideous high rises ruin it. Thanks, Winkopp.

The high rises downtown and the inability to remotely find parking there now?
The dearth of locally owned businesses and prevalence of chain restaurants and stores now?
The zillion dollar dorms and absence of Johnstone?
The gauche Vegas-style billboard facade on the Innovation center?
The new business center plopped, almost if as by accident, right on the street across from Sikes?
The knowledge that students are paying over 40 times what you paid to attend there now?
Still love the place overall, but it sure doesn't feel the same.

Born in 1966. Mom and Dad took me to most all home games from about 7 yes old and up. Was at bowl game when Hayes threw the punch. Was at Norte dame when we played there and won. Was at several other big games back then. Started undergrad in 85 and graduated in 89. Got masters from converse and went back to Clemson for Ph.D. now living on lake hartwell in anderson and lovin taking the boat up to games (both football and baseball). Make it to clemson for hiking and biking and general hanging out. Always a blessing and blessed I can live so close to my true home.

I have lived "here and there" to follow the $$ so my Bride could eat. (Actually she made more than me). When put out to pasture, moving back near Clemson was a dream I planed for. I had bought an acre ten years before on credit. In other places I was a mercenary, here is my home.
