The play directly affected the outcome of the game.

I don’t think ethics matter in CFB anymore.

Tennessee did something like that to us in 1974.

I believe it was Easleys own Stanley Morgan who stood next to the sideline as though he wasn’t in the game and talking to coaches. The reason the rule was implemented?

The rule didn't exist then. I think the rule was enacted because of this play.

Alabama still thinks that Orange Crush was illegal. Who cares? Over the years, I've seen Auburn do some dirty #### and get away with it.

At least OU was creative and won the game. Not saying it's right. But they didn't get called for it in game.

It is illegal and has been for MANY years. I think it became illegal after Tennessee pulled it on us in 1974.

That's the same as an On-sides kick. Lack of situational awareness

We flubbed on it and the game went downhill.

They cleared it with the officials before the start of the game.

Smart teams find an edge and win a ball game, whowould've thunk it. Also Hugh Freeze can go take a hike. Dude is a grade a weirdo.

Do they need to tell the defense when they call a play action? Or tell them a flea flicker is coming or did bowden need to tell ford about the fake punt?

"In college football, using a simulated substitution to confuse opponents is illegal participation, a type of unsportsmanlike conduct resulting in a 15-yard penalty. This rule, enforced by the NCAA and other rulebooks like NFHS, prohibits "hide-out" plays and tactics that deceive the opponent regarding player numbers or the substitution process. For example, pretending to substitute a player who remains in the game, or running a player toward the sideline to draw attention while they remain on the field, are violations. "

This is per ChatGPT, I don't have time to parce the rulebook (at work) but it and has been illegal for years.

We used that play often in intramural games. I'm not going to say what name we called it but, as far as I know, if that receiver stays in the field of play, he is an eligible receiver.

Yeah, they cleared it. SEC says refs still didn't get it right.

Lucky Johnson

It is legal play. The line judge is outside the player so he knew.

All you gotta do is tell the line judge and he adjusts. If there is no player there he would be in closer. It is up to defense recognize where all the players are, not up to referees to tell them.

Now if you don’t notify line judge you got a problem.

We ran that play with Jacoby Ford for a TD
