Ok. Nothing was released, even when Biden was president.
That should somehow make us less interested in seeing it? Why is Trump acting so guilty and covering it up? I don’t follow why the lack of prior disclosure should change our desire to see it now.

Whether or not Epstein files were released under Biden (obviously, they were not) is of secondary importance as far as the desperate ‘Trump must have done it’ re pedophilia on Epstein Island.
The point is that if Trump, the most intensely investigated living human being on Earth, had any dealings with J.Epstein’s pedophile island, then of course that information would have been released.
The same FBI that risked being eviscerated on sedition charges (via conspiratorial participation in the promulgating if the fraudulent documents used as the foundation of the ‘Russia Hoax’) and who conspired again with Trump hating govt agencies to orchestrate the J6 FedSurrection (more new info coming out next week) would … of course … taken any information from the Epstein files (which were in the FBI’s possession over 4 years ago) with which to smear … or even indict … Trump.
You know that what I’m writing is true (except for that part which you cling to as ‘conspiracy theory’ re J6 FedSurrection).
Is this you just doing your part to support the ‘now is the time to win at all costs’ fight?

You are fabricating explanations for why Trump cannot possibly be implicated in the Epstein materials. What you are not doing and cannot do is explaining why the materials were reviewed by his FBI and the Department of justice and are being buried rather than released, especially after promises to do just that.
Obviously there are things that were not released while Biden was president because they didn’t have them, look at what the Wall Street Journal published this year after getting their hands on the birthday book from the Epstein estate. You think the Biden/Harris campaigns wouldn’t have liked to have had their hands on that? What else is out there that we don’t know about?
At the end of the day, I want transparency regarding the associates and crimes of a pedophile, no matter who is implicated. What exactly is it you’re arguing?

evidence work. All of it is under DOJ/FBI control, agencies which are currently headed by Trump lackeys. Why wouldn't Trump, Bondi, or Patel just destroy all incriminating evidence? That it would be 1,000% illegal has never stopped any of these people before, especially for something so potentially damning. Are there copies somewhere that they can't get to? Does the Epstein estate have more stuff that they can't control? Do too many people know about it, whether Congress or FBI laymen or whatever?
I'm just not quite understanding how the criminals in charge of the evidence that could bury them haven't just made it disappear.

Assuming these files exist, and assuming they've entered various/multiple federal agencies' digital archives, then audit trails exist for any modification, and while I have serious doubts about the public ever seeing much of the files, the fact that there is some visibility in to who accessed/changed the documents going forward is somewhat reassuring.

So, with the discharge petition theoretically getting the 218 signatures since a Democrat won the special election, won’t this matter be going to a floor vote?
If it does I’m still worried it won’t pass. Also, apparently it wouldn’t matter if it did, if I read that article correctly, due to the oversight committee still investigating.

Correct, the discharge petition is to force an up or down floor vote.
The stonewalling by the DOJ and FBI, and Mike Johnson refusing to swear in the 218th signature nevermind let it go to a floor vote without a discharge petition, should raise some serious questions. For one, why?
