Good morning everyone how was your weekend?

Friday night, went to the Radio Room to see Sarah Shook and the Disarmers. Fun time as always.
Saturday, up early to help get ready for the crawfish boil in Clemson. At a lot, back home to crash.
Sunday, a class as the woodworkers guild then not much else.

Fri - work, went fishing around 11-2, work 2-4:30. Went downtown for sushi with family for my burthday dinner
Sat - Stayed around the house most of the day. Started the install on my new fish finder, needs about 1 more hour. Kids played on the bounce house and soccer in the yard
Sun - Church in the morning, Sunday dinner at Mom's to celebrate mine and McJr's birthdays, played basketball / pig. Mom was a serious threat. Brother won game 1 and I won game 2. Breakfast for dinner.

Friday don’t remember anything profound one way or the other
Saturday got some outdoor chores done and smoked a really tasty chuck steak
Sunday lunch with mom Tire exploded on the way home, fortunately a left rear on a tiny light weight hatchback and was able to drive it to the driveway
2:25 report to AAA in app 2:30 reply help is on the way 3:05 truck arrives 3:20 tire changed and guy on to his next call - he got 3 more jobs while changing my tire so I’m glad he came when he did
Yeah, I could have done it myself “like a real man” but between fighting with the crappy car jack and dealing with shop tightened lugs I would have been out there all afternoon - you pay for a service, might as well use it
I guess lunch will be spent buying tires just got to decide if they are old enough to get all 4 or just 2

Friday, visit to RH Mom, picked up Chicken Salad Chick on the way home, walked down to the camp to walk Mrs. Tig home from work, ate, halfway watched some basketball while doing a little research on bass modeling pedals, crashed.
Saturday, lazy morning drinking coffee and watching a couple of the classic 70s Wolf and Cub samurai movies. These were a huge influence on Tarantino and many others. Cheesy, bloody, violent, rapey 70s midnight movie gloriousness. Ran some errand, stopped to visit RH Mom, over to see my buddy at the music store, and put my name in for the first Fender Meteora bass that comes in. He did not have the Vox Stomplab pedal I decided on, so pulled the trigger on that when I got home because on sale at Amazon. Walked pup, ate a quick supper, went to MEDIUM volume acoustic jam. Had a blast as always, but it was a little rusty since the focus was pulling things out of mothballs we hadn't played in a few years so it was expected.
Sunday, slept in, got up and did a few chores, went to sit with RH Mom for a few hours while Sis ran errands, grocery run, then back home to walk the pup. Supper, Walking Dead, crashed.
Not overly exciting, but not stressful either. The final tally is 18.65/19 Covids.

Joonyer was in the school orchestra from 6th grade until graduating high school. He didn't want to sell it, but claims he doesn't have anywhere to put it in his house, so it sits on a stand in my bedroom. I pluck around on it here and there, but never really get serious about it. I ain't hauling a doghouse to practices or gigs.

acoustic guitars. We run everything through the board except the bass. I do have a Washburn SRH500, which is what I use when we actually do an acoustic gig.
Also have Joonyer's Kramer Ferrington bass, but it needs some work and I probably haven't touched it in 5 years or so. It's almost as big as a mariachi band bass, LOL.

Youngest scored 3 but it is an U8 league and everyone sucks. Middle kid scored his first goal and he was pumped. Had a BETTER run and shot right at the keeper later, but he played well. He started as Keeper but rotated out and played really well in the outfield, mostly midfield and defensive mid. He is an 8 year old playing his first year of soccer in an U10 league and one of the better players. He has alot of potential, his athletic ability is through the fucgking roof, hopefully he keeps enjoying sports. Ate Panera because at 8:00 on a Friday in Rock Hill near Manchester, it's either that Wild Wing Cafe, or Olive Garden and I hate all those places but Panera is MUCH faster. $55 wasted.
Saturday morning up for a quick run at riverwalk, 6ish miles, felt good. Picked up cupcakes for daughter's B-day party then home to let wife workout some more. CLeaned up and went to daughter's bday. They painting place was BYOB so I tried to get beer tokens and a wristband at the Rock Hill St. Patty's Fest but I aint waiting in lines like that. My brother brought me some beers and I drank while they painted. She had a good time and Mom got to come out, although seeing her in a wheelchair aint fun. These events are probably the last ones she will ever get to do, her days are numbered, so it is bittersweet. Went to Chuy's for dinner because the girls got to pick.
Sunday church, lunch, home to play in the yard and cut grass while BIL came and pressure washed deck and siding. Went to Mom's to have a cupcake for daughter's continued b'day celebration. Up late watching Outlander and then up early this morning for a 5:15 gym session. Now I'm back in my "office" reading about everyone's incredible weekends.
St. Augustine Next Weekend though...

Pretty relaxing...
Mar 21, 2022, 8:22 AM
|
|
Friday...Hit store on way home, cooked something at home, watched some basketball, and went to bed. Was a looong week at work.
Saturday...Up early solo, so made something for myself for breakfast, got hair cut, hit lowes from some supplies, watched basketball, planted some new water plants in pond, met some friends for dinner at Mellow Mushroom in Clemson, hit the bed.
Sunday...church, bourbon salmon for lunch, house cleaning, watched the Duke BB game (one of the better games I've seen in a long while), bed.
So, basically boring and uneventful.

Did 6 cases Wednesday, out of the OR & on the river drinking crispy boys by 4. Cruised until dark. Saturday had brunch in Georgetown then drove the back way to Lexington for family stuff that night. Went to Orangeburg Sunday to visit some friend that just had a baby, then back to Murrells via yet another set of backroads.
Moral of the story, there is no easy way to get into and out of Murrells Inlet.

Thursday: St. Pat's Day porch dranks with some frans, ended up a lil more hungover on Friday than planned.
Friday: Costco trip for dog food, milk, and one other thing, I forget what. Spent $600. Damn you, Costco. Took a lil nibble of an edible that night, dozed off on couch, got a great night of needed catchup sleep.
Saturday: went to see my English buddy from ATL who was in town with his biking crew for the Swamp Fox race the do every March. They stay at one of the guy's investment rental property in IOP, and it's titties. 3 story house maybe 400' from Windjammer. Most of the crowd did the casual-ish 50 miler, but one of them did the 177 miler which is more like those endurance runner things. Started at 11pm Friday night, so he did the first 8 hours in the dark. Nuts. Cooked a bunch of steaks and asparagus and whathaveyas over the firepit, went up to Windjammer, decent band, black guys who played mostly covers, but did them really well, so. Got hit on by a cute lil 30 something, still got it, occasionally.
Sunday: Waffle House with the fam, then drove around some so the wifey could see some houses in Nexton or wherever that were on HGTV (the rest of us were rolling our eyes, but hey, happy wife, still don't get laid, amirite?).
Solid 8.5/10 weekend, would do again.

last night I was literally like, "How the #### is the weekend over already?"
Friday I logged outta work a little early to go pick up my brand new motorcycle. Sold my last bike a few years ago and after lots and lots and lots of consideration, I decided to get a new one. The ride home was 56 miles, so I had ample time to get acquainted with it.
Saturday did grocery shopping and relaxed on the patio. Entire body was sore from the ride the day before.
Yesterday I began to install the fender eliminator, but the instructions were pretty useless and I decided to button it all back up so I can ride the bike again. It was my mom's birthday and she came by late afternoon for dinner.

Widely considered the best of the 300 CC sport bikes. I'm not a particularly tall person, so it's a great fit for me and the R6 seemed a bit excessive.

Fri: Tried some new recipes for supper. Andalusian chickpeas with spinach and Italian Potatoes. The Chickpeas were great but I'd stick with more traditional potatoes in the future. Sonof (who didn't eat any of what we prepared) finished dinner by projectile vomiting everything he had eaten that day. Cleanup delayed the rest of the night but I made it to a friend's goodbye party at a brewery and had a few drinks. B- due to vomit.
Sat: Sonof wasn't feeling good (thankfully no more vomit) so I cancelled plans to drive up to the mountains and open the compound up for the spring. My day was fairly relaxed since he decided that he didn't want anyone other than his mom to hold him. Did some light yard work, went to the book store, went to the grocery store. Watched some basketball. Great weather for the most part. B+.
Sun: Congestion kept me up half the night. Skipped church and went to the Urgent Care instead. Urgent Cares are one of the great inventions. So much less fuss that a PCP. Sinus infection confirmed. Steroid shot administered. Rested most of the morning and started in on my new book. Sonof was back to 100% and I felt better by afternoon so we played in the yard. I got a little more yardwork done. He played in the sprinkler. Dinner was ground beer-chorizo tacos, rice and beans, and horchata. It was all quite good. In bed VERY early. B+.
Overall: Lots of sickness but productive and relaxing. Good food and good weather. B.

Was supposed to go to lake with entire fam, but daughter had wisdom teeth out on Wed and was still pretty rough by Fri, so wife stayed home with her and son and I had a guy's weekend at Cumberland.
He's heading off to college this fall, so I find myself extremely aware of the fact that hanging out with him is a quickly dwindling commodity, and I was really grateful for the time. We played tennis a couple times, watched all the F1 there was to watch, college basketball, played ping-pong a lot, and ate very well. 10/10
Moon was beautiful too....here's a night shot I got......looks almost like the sun at dusk but it was nighttime---new iPhone does some amazing stuff with night photography.

beautiful weekend. By Friday around 1, most of those plans were canceled and new plans were made. That’s the approximate time youngest twin decided to stand on the recliner, reach for something on the end table, fall off the recliner, and break his collarbone. Turns out 2 yr olds aren’t as invincible as they think.
So other than trying to keep the boy in his sling, did some yard work. That’s about it.

Fri - not much I guess, don't really recall and don't care to try.
Sat - went to the Aiken Trials. Think Carolina Cup, but much smaller, much more laid back, same amount of alkeehaul. Our steeplechase is next weekend and then they go to Camden, but this weekend was the practice round. Weather was pretty good (got pretty windy). Managed myself pretty well until we went downtown after. Things got a little hazy late in the evening.
Sun - lazy recovery day. Watched basketball with the fellas in the afternoon. Lost the one pool that I was in that was 1st and 2nd round only. Will regroup and try to win the 16 through finals pool.

but several red flags. The boss seems like a really great lady in a really ###### job. Would be a 20K raise but would be about 30k in headaches and I would never see my kids.
Saturday: Tilled in the garden spot using a tractor that was way too big and had to be strapped and unstrapped with logging chains 6 different time. I am still worn out from that. Then daddy-daughter dance which went well.
Sunday: Cleaned up, went to the store. Found beef ribs for 2.50 a lb. Realized after spending 5 hours cooking them why they were so cheap. 15 lbs of ribs for maybe 2 lbs of meat. Won't make that mistake again.
Today I'm doing some intense research on the interview I have this afternoon. This is the job I really want. This is the job that I'm going against somebody with experience (at a different level) but lives 40 minutes away and doesn't live in the community. Community outreach is a big factor for this job. So we will see how it goes. Thots and Pears appreciated.

Made it an early one with my best friend visiting in town.
Thursday night: Beer and basketball with friends. Friday night: Knockdown St. Paddy's party; got righteously inebriated. Saturday: Another neighborhood party despite the hangover. Sunday: A little chorin' but mostly took it easy.
Basketball all up in there as well.
This is one of my favorite weekends of the year. The first weekend of March Madness and St. Paddy's fun.

Friday: left work early to get home and take a nap. Had a stomach/intestinal bug for a few days and was ######## so much couldn't sleep.
Saturday: Got some rest and daughters had a track meet, both set PRs, older one broke a few school records. Back home by 2PM, watched some NCAA action, fell asleep.
Sunday: slept in a again, felt like a normal person, ate nothing but some grits. Went outside a good bit, and celebrated that winter is no more.

Better than working...

Weekend with just wife, baby (AKA toddler, daughter, etc.) and I so pretty quiet. Friday night wife was dealing with some sinus issues and hankering mexican so we went to a new joint near our house to try it out. It sucked. Burrito was bland, tacos were soggy. Really, really bad. The burrito was short ingredients advertised, and the mexican rice was birdeye frozen veggies mixed with some rice and maybe a thimbleful of cumin. Got the squirts literally right after we got home. Rallied to hang out with wife after the three year old hit the sack. Slept.
Saturday, woke and let the dogs out then went back to bed. Woke up again and let the dogs out again then made some breakfast. Mainly bacon and eggs and pancakes for the little one. Drank coffee and chilled a bit then got dressed to go run errands all day. Hit Lowes and had a beer while shopping then headed to the butcher shoppe to spend a gift certificate. Two hi-choice strips, broccolini, a frozen prepped beef stroganoff, a dozen giant shrimp, cheddar bacon dip and pretzel chips later had spent all but 1.27 of the gift certificate. Did not plan it. Went home and daughter chilled while I did some work around the house. Then fed daughter and put her to bed and cooked the shrimp steaks and broccolini on the egg. Drank a pretty decent red and it was all perfection. Nookie and sleep.
Sunday, got up and drank coffee by myself while wife and toddler slept in. Then we ran around getting ready to go to Charleston. Drove to Charleston. Took oldest daughter and her roommates to lunch and drinks and then we walked all over downtown ending at the waterfront. Toddler was in heaven from start to finish. Lazily made our way home after a day and the kids were back from other parent's house and they had started the stroganoff. Ate that and watched a couple of eps of naked and afraid. Sleep.
