and ask someone who has lost a family member to Covid that question, and see if you walk away intact.
It almost makes me wonder if "Anti-Vaccers" and "Anti-Trumpers", (or PRO-Trumpers, who knows, but I bet the anti-vaccers fall mostly in one camp) do not blend. There is no rational stance against taking the vaccine. Even the J&J vaccine is back in play, after the health organizations looked at data about possible complications. Millions take the flu vaccine every year, almost without thinking, now. Covid will evolve the same way. Go ahead and don't take the vaccine. When Covid finally comes calling at your door (and it will, eventually) you may change your flippant tune. But, the Ark will have already sailed for you by then.

Triggered much? I had the vaccine but dont give a crap who else get its as thats their business. Unlike the mask which protects others the vaccine protects the individual who gets the vaccine.

If I recall correctly, I first heard it in second grade. But I didn’t hear it after maybe fourth or fifth grade. By that age the vast majority of people are too embarrassed to use it, as they realize it exposes their total lack of any substantive rebuttal. But yeah, I remember it!

I have my first vaccine. I got COVID back in November, it was pretty mild at the time but it's May and I still don't have a sense of smell, I constantly get chest pains, headaches/brain fog and have massive fatigue -some days are good and some are bad.

I'm not sure about variants and all that, but with any type of vaccine there is always some percentage of people the vaccine doesn't work for. For instance, the MMR vaccine is estimated to be 93% effective against the measles. That makes it all the more important for as many people as possible to get vaccinated because there's always going to be a certain percentage of people who received the vaccine who aren't going to receive protection as a result.
You also have people such as my father who is currently dealing with lung cancer and can't receive the vaccine who is relying on others to receive their vaccinations in order to provide protection for him and others like him who don't have the option of receiving it.

You stated in your post that "there is no rationale stance for not taking the vaccine". Right now these vaccines have only been approved under an experimental/emergency status. That is reason enough for me, that is if someone does not want to take the shot they are indeed rationale.
The technology used to bring these vaccines to market so quickly is being used for the first time. There are no long term studies on their affects on the human body. Just short term experiences and scientific guesses.
Health care is a personal decision and should remain so.

Not completely correct

You are correct that the vaccines have been approved under emergency use. What that means is that the normal bureaucratic red tape that vaccines normally have to go through has been altered to move more quickly. They also did some steps simultaneously that aren't normally done - like starting production before being approved. It doesn't mean that they have not done due diligence in testing and evaluating potential risks - that part of the process was NOT changed.
You also mention the technology for these vaccines as being new. You are correct that the mRNA technology is newer, but if that's the concern take the J&J as that is a tried and tested adenovirus vaccine.

I got the vaccine as soon as it was available to me; and also think Trump is dumber, less competent, and less emotionally stable than Will Muschamp. So, no there isn’t a hard and fast correlation with the two camps.

It's a bit early for the dumbest post of the day. "Almost without thinking" was the only accurate part of your post. Why would anyone healthy, take an "emergency use authorized" vaccine for an ailment only deadly to less than .01% of the population? Watch Kennedy vs Dershowitz on vaccines and educate yourself on uses, safety and mandates. See if afterwards you still feel there is "no rational stance" against taking them.

What if you identify as vaccinated, will that work? I am not an anti vaccine person but they need to quit calling this a vaccine, it is an emergency use experimental shot and we are the guinea pigs. If all you so called covid shot proponents would do any research outside of mainstream you would see there risk in taking it that are greater than the virus itself and also see how to defend yourself and others against the terrible virus.

The risks are greater than the virus itself? So you're saying the vaccine is going to kill nearly 600k Americans, and over 3.23 million people worldwide? Just what are these risks exactly?

Maybe, but I am proud to know so many brave Tiger fans are strong enough proud to be sheep and to jump all over the weak sheep Tiger fans for being stupid and not loving their freedom and liberty.
I am also proud to know so many brainiac Tiger fans from all walks of life who became self educated epidemiologist over the last year, have digest all the facts, figured out the best way for everyone to go and are also willing to jump all over the stupid brave Tiger fans who are not sheep.
FWIW, I don't think this sort of debate is politically based. I for example am not politically focused at all. I thought President Trump and Senator Biden were both wonderful candidates and that we are a lucky nation to have both of them running. I knew we'd be good to go with either one as President.

For instance.
If the deadly reaction rate of the vaccine is 0.8 % vs a 0.5% death rate of getting covid then yes the statement would be true...even if 10mil have died from covid and only 1 million have died from the vaccine.
The people who would have died from getting covid could also be the same group who would have died getting the vaccine which would skew the numbers as well.
Scientists still argue about the validity of flu shots that have been around for years. so it isn't as clear cut as the measle , polio, or tetanus vaccines.
This debate wont end until the vaccine has the same track record as the other vaccines people have accepted.

The deal here is we should be able to choose (freedom) whether we want to take it or not without being judged by our brothers & sisters on Tigernet. I personally will not be taking it until further research is done. My dad & Sisters Family have all taken the vaccine & that’s their choice according to their medical situation but we all are different.
I had it early in March last year, my antibodies are high from exposure. It’s a medical decision we are free to choose & I’m free to change my mind any minute from now.
I voted for Trump & would do it again but I love you all regardless who you voted for.
We need to stop political posts on a football board because people get so mad upset & passionate at the freedoms we all have had since we were 18. I love you all regardless of who you choose/chose to support & I respect your freedom.

The COVID vaccine is not really a vaccine, but gene therapy that alters your genes, makes you a mutant, and allows the government to track you easily. It is also extremely dangerous, more so than the actual COVID virus, which is nothing more than the flu. Even though hundreds of thousands of Americans have supposedly died from COVID, these are falsified numbers. Plus, there have been many deaths from the COVID vaccine that aren't being publicized. The government is using the COVID virus to manipulate and control people, and further their agenda for a one world government to further strip away your rights. It's all a big conspiracy between governments, the media, and Big Pharma.
At least that's what I've learned from some of the truly enlightened posters here.

I don’t care if anyone else gets the vaccine, but I did. Didn’t need a bribe to get it either.
I remember when I as at Clemson in the 80’s and there was an outbreak of mumps or measles or similar and we were all required to get a vaccine before attending classes. Lined us up in the loggia to get the shot IIRC. I guess all the anti-vaccine people would have just quit school?
I don’t really understand the vaccine reluctance but people have their reasons I guess. The funniest is the Trump fans that won’t take Trump’s vaccine...sort of like the Trump fans that totally destroyed him by invading the Capitol building after he told them to be respectful of the cops and non-violent.

I dunno what being a fan has to do with vaccines.
I'm a culture club fan but I'm no chameleon.

Yeah but, do you really want to hurt me? Do you want to see me cry?
