Differences in houses in the upstate vs the lower state

or maybe, anywhere. I wouldn't think bathroom fixture suppliers would be so regional, but I think they are.
I've never seen another shower insert shaped like this anywhere but in house in the upstate. They are rounded on all four corners and have a top. Not saying that its good or bad, its just different than any other place I've looked (coastal SC and south florida/Keys primarily). Just about every house I look at in the Clemson/Anderson/Greenville area has a shower insert like this.

Probably some thing where it is cheaper for the developer to do the bathroom that way, but trying to fool people as if it's luxurious and unique.

McMansions built circa 1995-2005 in Upstate. You know, the kind of house that was built to look good on paper 4k sqft 5 bathrooms etc... but most rooms have those ###### brass/glass dome lights lowes sells in packs of 10, crappy hollow doors etc....
