One of the many problems with this team I haven't heard yet

They hate each other.
We've got whole position groups and units seemingly purposefully sabotaging each other. Just against SMU, Adam Randall misses a hole early so how does the OL repay him - they don't give him another hole for the rest of the game. DL cant get a push on a hobbled QB, how does the secondary and LBs repay them - they are no where to be found. The defense is holding SMU to FGs early, how does the offense repay them - they cant get a first down. Second half the offense finds rhythm, how does the defense repay them - they don't bc they quit at halftime.
No one is grabbing each other or showing any enthusiasm when someone rarely makes a play, maybe they're frozen in shock bc they can't believe it. But they just hate each other it seems, there no comradery or enthusiasm, ever.

I can't say they "hate each other" however a microcosm of what you describe is..

several weeks ago (may have been Cuse game) when TRANSFER TRISTAN SMITH caught a pass.......made 4-5 guys miss and picked up many more YAC. He got up and was PUMPED!!!!.............not a SINGLE player came over and celebrated with him or smacked his helmet, etc.....
the transfers and punter have been the BRIGHTEST spot of the team this year.

There doesn't seem to be nearly as much communal celebration

anymore. Players (sport-wide) are so overly eager to get up and engage in some lame, worn-out, narcissistic individualistic celebration (flexing with arms bowed, stepping high, randomly yelling at the sky, i.e. doing the corny badass routine). Then they post that boring crap on social media to build their brand. It's so lame.
The genuine and organic celebrations with teammates had charm and real joy involved. This crap doesn't.

AMEN Mr. Matt. I am sick and tired of these immediate celebrations after routine plays. I guess the one that irks me most is the running to the end zone with your entourage after an interception. That is just a ridiculous display of poor sportsmanship.

For me. when I saw Riley call a bubble screen pass on the first play for CV I knew we were in trouble. Let him hand it off a few times.
I've been a huge fan of GR's but his air raid offense (or whatever you call it) doesn't work anymore.

It’s the Clemson offense. Not the Riley offense. That was made clear.

Easy. That's quite a leap to say they "hate" each other. I think the problems come down to one thing. Leadership. I'm not sure there's any real leadership on defense especially. I know Cade tries with the offense. There's some evidence Woods has tried on D. I'm starting to think that's really where the problem lies.

There are 2 huge problems with this team. Without them you cannot win. The OL and DL are as bad as I have seen in years. OL can’t block, run or pass, and the DL cannot get off their blocks. Good lines with the talent that are in the other positions around them would make this team not as good as we have witnessed in the past but very solid.
I am starting to believe we swung and missed in recruiting a few of these guys on both sides of the ball.
35 rushing yards Saturday. Unreal
