Local high school has a corner back with many offers including Clemson. Was coming to Clemson but another school in the big 10 made a sizable nil offer and will provide a place for parents as well during his time there. Now going to big 10 school way up north. Under the old system he would be playing for Dabo. Under the new pay for play he will not be playing for Dabo. This is why Clemson is having g a more difficult time recruiting.

Everyone who is giving Dabo a lot of grief: 1. understand that Dabo is the best coach by far that Clemson has ever had. 2. After Danny Ford left, it was 25 years before we had another great coach (Dabo). Great coaches are few and far between--- it involves many skills: CEO management skills, personality, salesmanship, leadership, knowledge of football. The only one of those that is easily hired in the football field is football skills. Dabo has hired several excellent coaches (Chad Morris, Brent Venables come to mind)--- do you really want to spend another 25 years looking for another great coach?
The analysts for the UNC game made the comment that college presidents and NFL coaches have been calling Dabo--- that's called recruiting. They are letting him know that if he decides to leave, they are waiting for him. I suggest that we go back to making him happy.
College football has changed especially with respect to recruiting--- Saban retired rather than deal with NIL. Dabo wants everything to return to the way it was--- that is not going to happen. Recruiting the way Dabo recruits is difficult when other teams are offering millions of dollars in NIL money. Talking about making a recruit a man and teaching him about Christianity isn't going to matter to a recruit whose family makes $40,000/year. They need money now.
Now, we all think Clemson is fabulous and Heaven on earth--- most Americans don't even know Clemson is in S.C. It's not in the SEC. It's not well-to-do and IPTAY is not one of the top supporting program-- I believe it is in the top 50, but every SEC team has more money than our athletic program.
WE NEED TO KEEP DABO HAPPY--- HE FITS IN GREAT WITH CLEMSON AND HE WILL ADJUST TO THE NEW NIL AND TRANSFER PROGRAMS.
