Noticed Elliot mention DJ was stepping

Into the pass rush and not in the pocket.
He did that for at least 3 of the sacks. He's been here over a yr. Surprised this never was noticed before.

Our offensive coordinator thinks we had a pocket.

Yes ol was really bad. DJ made it worse, when there was a pocket, he stepped directly into the ruaher.

UI agree, there wasn't much of anything for DJ He wasn't sharp at all, but the lack of any time didn't help him at all. In comparison, GA scored but three points and their QB had lots of time.

He can do that in scrimmages

QB doesn’t feel the real pressure in scrimmages since he only gets tapped for a sack. Doesn’t learn how to atep away from heavy contact, and instead sits there too long.

I agree. We don’t need to kill him in practice but a little pop would help better to prepare him for games.

Great point. DJ is wearing a red shirt at practice. If live snaps, DJ would never leave emergency room.

There were times where he stepped right into the DE. The OL does suck, but he wasn't helping.

the longer they are at Clemson, the more bad pocket habits they develop.

Streeter doesn't coach the OTs.
Last night, UGA's DEs were able to run untouched around the outside of our OTs, who looked like their feet were glued to the ground..... and the UGA DTs twisted themselves untouched into the A-gaps and B-gaps that were 6' wide - also untouched.
The O-line was pitiful, DJU was a deer in the headlights, locked into his first read and our lack of a Plan-B and refusal to try either a wildcat formation or sub a QB to move the pocket to the edge was our downfall. I've never seen a defense cover our offense so well. I only was able to identify one obvious advantage when we lined up all night. DJU saw it too and found the receiver, but the rest of th night, UG had us covered like a glove - run or pass.
The root cause of the need for change in offensive plans is the question - whether it's recruiting the right players, strength and conditioning, O-line coaching or blocking schemes - I'm not certain - it's Dabo's job to solve. I hope he can find an answer soon or more and more teams will see that we are soft in the O-line.

are the best run D in the nation, going to a one dimensional run formation is EXACTLY what they would have wanted...And I'm not even going to dignify the suggestion to sub in Hunter Helms...Both of those suggestions are completely asinine
