2024 healthy WRs could be a huge plus of this years team over last years team, but, somebody has to decide which of our QBs are going to give the team the best chance to win. Honestly, I really don't care which one that is as long as the coaching staff that makes those decisions will be 100% true to their professional opinion and play whatever QB that will do the best job for the entire team. However, the offensive performance usually dictates how our defense should be bc if the offense can keep the team in the game through all 4 quarters, it lessens risk the defense has to take with their coverage packages especially when it comes to blitzing the QB.

It will be up to Dabo to do his Job and decide how much he is going to trust Garrett Riley with who he believes will be the best QB for running his style of offense and ride with him win or lose bc it is possible that we may not have the right type of QB to execute Garretts offense with precision bc he would never say that to anyone that he couldn't trust to keep his opinion to only themselves... But hopefully if that QB is on our team, that will be the one that Dabo agrees to send out on the field. Most of us have seen through the years that Dabo can be quite stubborn when it comes to his starting QB!!!;) :)

Another thing, am I the only one concerned that we only had one big with our QB to Receiver plays as far as stretching the field with long yardage plays?

Hey, you never know. The guy that ended up being their dude at TCU was third string to start the year I think. They had a few injuries though. Either way, I think the offense will be improved this year. If Cade doesn’t make the giant turnover plays, our record last year would have been much different. He took a couple of dumb risks in the Spring game, but he also showed improvement using check downs.

He was the starter in 2022 but was beaten out be C. Morris in the summer but Morris suffered injury in game 1 of the 2023 season—

Clemson fans need to be happy with having non-monster type WR bodies.

Looking back to our ‘WRU’ years, Mike Williams and Tee Higgins were our only ‘monster’ size super stud WR’s.

Justin Ross was tall, so maybe he’d be categorized in the super stud M.Williams & T.Higgins group. We signed a few ‘hope they can get there’ highly rated big WR’s (Ngata, B.Collins, D.Collins) that became, at best, OK / pretty good WR’s. Maybe we’ll get lucky when Moore arrives on campus.

D.Hopkins, S.Watkins, D.Cain, and let’s toss C.Powell into this group … all are medium size bodies.

I’m thrilled if we can get some medium size body guys who can win the highly contested balls. Maybe A.Randall, and B.Wesco can get to super stud status.

I’m also thrilled when small super stud WR’s materialize. A.Williams may not be a ‘super stud,’ but he’s a terrific college receiver. T.Brown, IMO, has a higher upside (because he’s faster than A.Williams); we’ll see if he can get to being as good as A.Williams first. Tink supposedly has tremendous potential; we’ll see.

Look at Clemson’s recent high end smaller WR’s: Ray Ray McCloud. Amari Rodgers.

Look at opposing team’s high end small body WR’s: Antonio Brown (he played against us over a decade ago). Jordan Addison. Josh Downs. Zay Flowers. Each of these guys are studs. To my admittedly limited understanding, none were above 3* status in HS.

Nothing "Special" about this WR group yet but POTENTIAL is there ...

5 or 6 WR's have big upsides. Cade is the #1 option at QB, and Pearman may now be #2. 2025 Defense is currently well ahead of Offense, so Randall slowing down on the WR superlatives may make sense until after the UGA game.

Play Up Tempo and never stop scoring with these WRs and it's 15-0***

Funny that there was no mention of the leading WR last year, Tyler Brown.
