He wanted to showcase his ability to throw the ball down field and Abbeville runs the wishbone or veer. Not much of a down field threat until they hit people with deep throws.

Wren runs a spread offense. They also through the ball 40-60 times a game. I am a Wren student. We might, MIGHT, run the running backs 15 times a game. It constant passing. Kelly was also the kickoff returner at a Wren.
