Fake news by OP. The phrase "Press is embargoed" is an oxymoron. Whomever has a story will tell the story, particularly if they can be first. Therefore, whatever was heard "Gary" cannot be true.

No, I have never worked in PR. And, I don't count bloggers among professional journalists. But while it may be a real thing in some instances, it is not and has never been adhered to 100%. I doubt even 50% of the time. There is a natural human desire among journalists to be the first to break a story, which conflicts with the professional agreement to embargo the story until a pre-set time. The closer to the pre-set time it gets, and the higher the likelihood that others may know, the higher the pressure to leak. It's just the way it is.
If the time of breaking if the story were 3 o'clock today, I would think word would be everywhere by now. But you could be right. In fact I hope you are. It would be nice to know sooner than later, just for curiosities sake.

I don’t know how to feel about this. I was pretty upset about going to the Big Ten but am now kind of disappointed to see this new info. It’s quite a whirlwind of emotions.
Kind of like when I was planning on breaking up with my girlfriend and she beat me to the punch and literally punched me and dumped me first.
